I have close friends who are disabled.

I find this post offensive.
In that case delete it , as disabled people are normal, why are you suggesting they are not?
I find you offensive, but then that is why you come isn't it?
That is the intended definition of normal: someone who behaves in a civil manner, which means you don't qualify

The Irish foreign minister has just tweeted that the EU is not bluffing. This is the only deal that will be offered.

Looks like WTO rules will apply.

Turkeys voting for Christmas comes to mind.

Why would Labour vote with TM,she is never going to pass their 6 tests.....Corbyn has TM on the ropes she is going to have to make a decision between no-deal and a second referendum,if Corbyn makes no-deal impossible then where else can she go.
He may call for a vote of no confidence, but he needs 2/3 rd majority to get a GE. If Corbyn fails to isolate no-deal,I can see May going for no-deal(the default option),she would keep the nasty Brexiteers happy and maybe she could resign on April 1 (April fools day) and let Boris or Gove or JRM take the grief....after all she could say she has delivered Brexit and in the form that Brexiters wanted...
There was a lady on Question Time who thought that we should go for no-deal because that was our best position to quickly achieving an FTA....she may be right, the EU would lose just as badly as we will and they would be pushed by the likes of BMW to do something....at least under WTO it would be mainly food that would be tariff affected and the people vho voted Brexit should be prepared to pay for it.
KudosDave
a vote of no confidence in TM's government after she fails to get her deal approved a second time is the best next step and requires only a simple majority. After that, the tories have 14 days to form a majority. If they can't, then a GE is automatically triggered and the vote is 25 days after the 14 days.
Assuming everything goes according to JC's fastest route to GE, TM loses on the 11th, second vote is 7th Jan, no confidence 14th Jan, GE triggered 28 Jan, vote on Thursday 21 Feb.

The EU is not bluffing!!. Yes, perhaps now you realise that this is serious. It will hurt us in Ireland,it will hurt you in mainland UK, and it will be even more serious to the economic prospects of NI. It will only slightly hurt mainland Europe. Germany absorbed the entire cost of reunification, without a whimper,so the losses from UK trade wile unpleasant are almost irrelevant.
The world moves on ,with or without the UK.. the ball is in your court, no one is going to pick it up and give it back to you.

We kind of knew the EU would punish us for leaving but what is surprising is the way Ireland is acting like the little kid in the playground who hangs around with the bully and says 'hit him again'.

I kind of hope it is no deal tbh. It's cleaner and we can start with a fresh slate. Best all round. Plus we keep the £39 billion.

we'll be in stronger negotiating position but brexiters will run a very real risk of no brexit. There is no majority in the HoC for a hard brexit. That means the government will face an immediate vote of no confidence leading to JC becoming the next PM.

The EU holds a lot of the cards. But if you look at all we are asking for is a trade deal then what is the problem?

It's not like we're asking the EU to break up. They can get on with their plans quicker when we get out.

the EU can bend the rules a bit but have no interest to do so. They have to protect their SM and that means a customs border in NI.
To do that, the tories have to upset the DUP.
The main difficulty is there is no majority to support customs border in NI or the Irish Sea. We'll go round and round until a party can command a majority in the HoC.
