I found this Slogan Generator on the web
http://www.sloganizer.net/en/

Brexit Bonus as an input gave

"No Brexit Bonus, no kiss"

An understatement if ever there was one!

And this
UK Tax Haven
yielded
«It's not a dream. UK Tax haven is real!»
And
Liam Fox
«Oh my goddess, it's a Liam Fox.»

Good advice here
David Davis
«You wouldn't want to miss David Davis.»

Hell's Teeth! the darned thing is psychic!

Does it generate a tune to go with them? The first one, fairly obviously, made me think of "No Woman, No Cry" - but it doesn't work. Has been annoying me ever since.

Ok, this is a little bit View attachment 26592 but does anyone else get confused between these two?

View attachment 26593 View attachment 26594

Apparently, one is in charge of a great city and the other is dominated by a great city.

Tom
Actually I avoid going to the City in question now I'm retired......
Thinks wistfully back of the Fug in July on the inner ring road before the days cars had air conditioning and you were glued to the seat with sweat....
I'm sure it's not so bad these days, but still, I'd sooner steer clear of any city if possible...
I'm sure the press give more space to the Sporting personality than the Mayor, apart from slagging him of course...

Media coverage influences much about 'Brexit', particularly the public's perception of both the topic and the leading players involved.

The media also influences a great many other things in our everyday lives so this video clip from the USA demonstrates just how powerful a tool it is. It is sometime subliminal, sometimes overt but media bias is unrelenting and has been going on for decades:

Meanwhile, the anti-Corbyn abuse and character assassination continues unabated, the most recent example being David Blunkett who is of the opinion that Frank Field is a great man. Mmm.....I think that says more about Blunkett than Field.

The left-wing blog, AAV has this on the matter:

The "bullying and thuggery" of the militant left is to blame for all of Labour's woes according to the former Blairite minister David Blunkett.

So let's just forget how Tony Blair claimed that anyone who supports Jeremy Corbyn's leadership needs a "brain transplant".

Let's just forget the way Jeremy Corbyn was the subject of a massive bullying campaign by Labour right-wingers, which resulted in 172 knives being plunged into his back in their failed chicken coup attempt in 2016.

Let's just forget the way the neoliberal cultists in the wider Westminster establishment class the mainstream media have continually abused Jeremy Corbyn and people who support his democratic socialist policies for over three years.

Let's just forget that this relentless anti-Corbyn smear campaign has resulted in repeated death threats against him, including two by jailed extreme-right terrorists, and a load more on a "sack Corbyn" petition just the other day.

Let's just forget about how Margaret Hodge screamed defamatory abuse in Jeremy Corbyn's face, then actually cried victim when she was subjected to a whitewash complaints procedure (for an offence that any of us in the real world would have been sacked for)

Let's just forget that Jeremy Corbyn's ally Diane Abbott is by far and away the most abused politician in UK politics, with the waves of abuse coming from "centrists", Tories, and the extreme-right alike.

Let's just forget the way the right-wing controlled Labour NEC set about bullying literally thousands of left-leaning Labour members in 2016 by instantly expelling them from the party for "crimes" such as retweeting a green politician, admitting they voted for another party years before they even joined Labour, and even liking the Foo Fighters too much (???).

Let's just forget how the Labour right-winger Michael Foster accused Corbyn supporters of being Nazis, and the Labour Party deputy leader Tom Watson accused Corbyn supporters of being either "Trots", or people foolish enough to be manipulated by them.

Let's just forget the vile and abusive online behaviour of Labour right-wingers like Mike Gapes, Tom Blenkinsop, and Ian Austin towards ordinary Labour Party members.

Let's just forget the blatant cry-bully tactics of Labour right-wingers as they bait people on the left with acidic jibes and insults, then immediately cry victim if anyone on the Labour left ever responds with insults of their own.

Let's just forget that Frank Field (who Blunkett eulogised in his article), orchestrated a witch hunt against Labour-left wingers in The Wirral in the 1980s, hurled anti-Semitic abuse at a Jewish political opponent in 1993, advised Tony Blair to lock poor families up in cages under motorway bridges, continually whipped up anti-immigrant headlines in the hard-right propaganda rags, and even pushed David Cameron to make the welfare system even more cruel and barbaric than it already was.

Let's just forget how Tony Blair made it absolutely clear to his disciples that he'd prefer the Tories to be kept in power indefinitely, rather than see a Labour government led by a democratic socialist lead the government.

For over three years the Labour right-wingers and their mates in the Tory party and the mainstream media have continually baited left-wing people with abuse. And what's even worse is that they then pick out isolated examples of left-wing people arguing back against their constant bombardment of abuse, defamation, and lies to pretend that they're the poor innocent victims.

It's as grotesque as it's obvious.

You won't find out by reading the Daily Mail.

Try a source of facts instead.
.
What like the Guardian or AAV? Besides paper is simply passing on Blunketts ramblings with little if any editorial comment.
But please explain , you sound well informed on why Labour Party is devouring itself.
Blunkett should represent an old Labour sage with nothing but praise for leader. Perhaps Murdoch has got to him too, or perhaps Mail has made it all up..,?
Labour stand as much chance of getting into power as I do. Its a farce. They are playing straight into Tory hands.

What is going on with Labour Party?
The Press are pushing the issue to the point they expect Corbyn to quit, and using any "useful fool" they can find.
None of it matters of course, what happens in the labour party wont affect the coming disaster.
They are arguing about the Deckchairs on the Titanic again and ignoring that the ship is sinking fast.

Not so, Blunkett was one of the chief architects of New Labour, Blair's pseudo tory party in other words. Add that to Frank Field being someone who was formerly in the Tory party and a friend of Margaret Thatcher and it's little wonder the two of them gang up against a genuine socialist. They are just doing the Tory party's dirty work.

Actually this is the death throes of New Labour we are witnessing, they have crept out of the woodwork once too often!

From the Express this morning
"
Theresa May vows to STOP second Brexit vote as poll shows 90 percent would vote the SAME
THERESA May has vowed there will not be a second referendum on leaving the EU, saying it would be a “gross betrayal” of democracy. Her pledge came as a Sunday Express poll revealed that nine out of 10 people would vote the same way in any event."
Fascinating! 10% is rather a larger margin that could be a Brexit killer
