More likely painted oneself into a corner with the nasty people of the U.K. post which you made earlier.
you seem to live in a very small corner that's all about personal attack and trolling. in my experience that is not representative of the UK, which is really why I am here. You are also getting more inappropriate and personal than I think is healthy. I will ignore you until you've regained some composure, perhaps you'll be more able to then have an adult, informed conversation about brexit.

Ireland
Back to brexit and unintended consequences.
Weddings by people resident in northerN Ireland , have often taken place in the RoI. Donegal in particular is seen as a lovely location, with its Atlantic seaboard but other counties also affected. The practice would have been to have the church or registry office formalities in the NI and then head south for the hooley. There has already been a reduction in bookings and suggestions that it will get worse. . Complaints are that
1. The reduction in the exchange rate sterling euro makes it relatively expensive.
2. Fear of delays at checkpoints ... And who needs the bother!!!

My dictionary doesn't provide a definition for 'aswell' so perhaps it's a proper name or something?;)

It was my fault for not making a convincing enough case against Mr Donald Trump.
Many, many billionaires minimize their tax liabilities. Although this is perfectly legal, it is a form of theft against the poorest in society.
Mr Trump's $1 billion tax loss would give him $200 million tax offset against future gains.

In my book, it is only legal because governments around the world either don't want to make it illegal, or have failed to do so. Manipulative tax avoidance (rather than simply accepting offered indulgences like personal tax allowances) fundamentally undermines society.

From the Independent
"
Philip Hammond insists Tories will not pay back more than £800,000 in donations from Russian oligarchs
‘You need to be very careful who you are friends with,’ says Marina Litvinenko
"
Ms May promised to distance her party from Russian donors when she took office, her allies briefing that she would “sup with a long spoon” and reject a “business-as-usual” relationship with Moscow.

The Tories have received more than £3m from Russian billionaires and lobbyists for Moscow since their return to government in 2010.

They have a slogan
Donate to us, we're cheaper by far than the DUP!

And these same Tory's and their Toilet Paper Press Propaganda Machine dare to taunt Corbyn about having links with Communists?
And all the while they are Pocketing Bribes from Russia?
What are the Russians getting in return??

As the Tory Cheshire Cat would say
Ha, ha, ha, ha........ad nauseum.o_O

you make many completely unfounded assumptions. You don't have any idea who the couple were. Your caricature of Mansfield is unfair. On the plus side, your deductive process provides insight into how brexit happened.
You are the one making assumptions and generalisations all the time. Your premise Brexit voters are stupid is the height of stupidity in itself.
I,d hazard a guess if we were to actually take IQ of both sides it would come out 100 ( average) for both sides.
Unless the likes of Hargreaves, Portillo etc etc are all stupid too.
Its just a ridiculous stance.

The accepted interpretation of intelligence is a persons ability to cope with environment it finds itself in. Put you and I in jungle in Vietnam and our intelligence would be worth feck all. However you assess it Trump has coped pretty well in environment he found himself in. By any assessment he is no idiot. He might be a meglamaniac with psychotic tendencies along with every other fault going. He is not an idiot.Fact.
You disliking what another person does and subjectively seeing that action as stupid does not make that individual stupid. I wonder how he,d assess us lot chuntering away on here for neither gain or reward. He,d probably think we are the idiots, and probably rightly.

Whilst you have your dictionary out look up " shortermist; PITA and pedant"

And BTW

aswell (not comparable)

1.Archaic spelling of as well. ◾1662 Thomas Salusbury, Galileo's Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems: There should indifferently follow all the same consequences to an hair, aswell in one Hypothesis as in the other.

Thought you,d be old enough to know this...

You dont have to make a convincing argument against DT, he does it himself. My only point is he is neither stupid or an idiot. I,d hazard a guess on any system of assessment his IQ is high...
He seems to do idiotic things and make idiotic statements. I suspect that is all part of his subterfuge.

There doesn't appear to be any link between IQ and political intelligence

All Ireland MENSA has one of the highest proportions of MENSA members of any country in the world.

That does seem very much at variance with their political record.

he accepted to do a job which he does not do well.
He is going to hurt the people to whom he made promises rightly or wrongly to put them first - His starting a trade war will do just that, losing them sales. That's why I think he is an idiot.

Not convinced Mensa tests actually gives intelligence. ( My wife is in Mensa and look at one of her life decisions)
??
But I agree but political intelligence is going to be even more subjective ...Would Putin rise to top in USA ?? Would Trump anywhere but USA.

But my premise remains, arguing one side is somehow cleverer than other is quite ridiculous.

Well you are wrong. Perhaps the things he has done are idiotic ( or seem so to some) . Einstein was thought to be utterly wrong and did make a few monumental errors in some of his assumptions, none of which detract from his actual intelligence.
Intelligent people do daft things all the time.

DT is no idiot. Fact. I agree he seems to do idiotic things. That is completely different.

Looking back at all you have done over years Woosh there must be things where you,d say " That was stupid" ( A speeding fine, an attempt at a jump on a bike, skiing down a cliff face) Those actions do not make you stupid, if they did we,d all be labelled by it. Only same with DT. The position he has achieved proves he is not an idiot. ( not sure how George Bush jr got there but that's another story)

They could have done.

In the USA the presidency is bought and Putin is easily rich enough.

And in Russia where the drunken idiotic slob Yeltsin got into power, Trump should easily qualify!

Perhaps the clever bit is rising high enough to be even considered for any of posts...the last hurdle KGB / CIA // money takes care of.

I suspect they used too many sparks last Friday!
The definition of Stupid
"
stu·pid
(sto͞o′pĭd, styo͞o′-)adj. stu·pid·er, stu·pid·est
1.
Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.
2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.
3. Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake.
Describes Trump accurately and quite simply he is a man who has been extremely fortunate, in background and being a useful tool for others, rather than having achieved his position through personal talent.
According to the ancient Greeks
"Idiots" were seen as having bad judgment in public and political matters. Over time, the term "idiot" shifted away from its original connotation of selfishness and came to refer to individuals with overall bad judgment.

Again a perfect description of the man
Your description "Megalamaniac is incorrect, the term is
"
meg·a·lo·ma·ni·ac
/ˌmeɡələˈmānēˌak/

noun

  • 1. a person who is obsessed with their own power.
adjective

  • 1. exhibiting megalomania.
In that you are correct: thus we can deduce
He is an Idiot with Megalomaniac tendencies.

For the record I dislike what he says, does, and represents, as a person he is simply a narcissist that is being manipulated by political factions to serve their own agenda.
They will soon, it they haven't already, realise he is the proverbial loose cannon.
I don't see intelligence motivating his actions, only an incredible vanity, and at least the early stages of Dementia.
