Is there anything, anything at all that concerns the Defence of this country that is being done correctly?
This from the Mirror.
"
The Ministry of Defence has admitted to losing two Watchkeeper spy drones in test flights over the Irish Sea this summer.

The crashes have caused the entire fleet to be temporarily grounded – yet another delay causing concerns about the effectiveness and cost of the drone project
The Watchkeeper project was hoped to be operational by 2010 but is still lumbering on, failing even to make it to locations as distant and exotic as the Isle of Man.
The project is also reported to have cost £1.1bn so far and is Seven years late.

And these are the people who will "Take back Control" "Defend our Shores" and give us a "Red White and Blue Brexit."

We are in incapable hands!
Lets recap.
The Navy can only put a fifth of its ships to sea, and only into cold water
The Army can only mount a limited Cavalry Charge.
The Air Force is entirely land based as it has no Aircraft for the New "Convenient Target" Carrier
Trident may well shoot at the wrong target
We have only half a Dozen coastal patrol boats
The Coastguard numbers have been reduced so far that a charity "Coastwatch" does that job for them.
And now our "Spies in the sky" can't make it as far as the Isle of Wight.

And we laughably try to use our much vaunted Military Defence capability as a bargaining chip with the EU?

Hysterical!

I seem to recall an incident when the Queen visited Ireland some years ago and someone threw a bottle either at her or the car carrying her.
A spokesman for the Irish Government apologised with the following statement.
"The Irish Government condemns the action of the maniac that threw the bottle."
He paused then added
"Only a maniac would throw a FULL Bottle."

1013 this morning! If I'd known it was up for sale, I'd have placed a bid.

Tom
1014 AD is as famous are in Irish history.. as important sort of as 1066AD in yours.. our Norman invasion came later in 1172AD . . Brian Boru, destroyed a Viking army , but lost his life in the process. He was the overlord of Ireland and multiple parts of Scotland, and supposed to be in his eighties at the time. Mind you it was all a family affair as some of the Danes he was fighting were family relations etc. ..
Since he was not in a position to advance his claim since then I chose the year previously as when he owned Scotland.

From the Telegraph this morning
"
Michael Gove and Priti Patel back Boris Johnson's bold Brexit vision to claw back £350m NHS cash"

It was cheaper to bribe the DUP than the punters!

Someone really should ask that the Daily Express use Journalists that actually understand English
"
David Davis calls for post-Brexit pact to protect EU-UK security ties after terror attack
DAVID Davis has demanded that security links between the UK and the European Union must be protected after Brexit to ensure that the fight against terror is not affected by Britain’s EU exit."

Now tell me, how is Davis in any position to DEMAND anything?

More accurately this should have been.

The British Government is unable to guarantee the safety of it's citizens and requests unconditional co operation on security with the EU security and intelligence forces.

What happened to taking back control and Protecting our Borders?
Acting sensibly for once "Comments are unavailable"

Which demonstrates the Express know this is going to go down like a lead balloon with the Brexit Voters as another "crawl back into the EU"
And admission of defeat by the Government.

From the Times this morning
"
Boris revives Brexit ‘dream team’
Boris Johnson and Michael Gove have rekindled their Brexit partnership in a high-stakes attempt to force Theresa May’s hand on European Union talks as a new civil war erupted in the Conservative Party last night. The Brexit heavyweights have told the prime minister to boost NHS spending by £10bn a year when Britain leaves the EU. "

Dream Team? Oh, good grief! why don't the pair of them just get a job suited to their talents?
