So far sounds so good. Your and Nealh's data on the gsm make me wonder what kind of battery I will need to buy. I won't be running de-restricted but am guessing that it will need a 25 A BMS to handle peaks.

I've not got time or equipment but I'd love someone to plug a gizmo like a speedict and see what the difference actually is on the gsm - restricted and not
Derestricted on a test run I hit 29.6 mph and have only done one good off road run, since then both my 09 batt's with 20a bms have under performed and one is quite poorly at 14 months of use. I think one of the new HL's with the 28a bms may be better suited, as yet I have been to busy to get out on my bikes this year bar new years day but have some lipo's to try with the GSM. Previously the same batt's with BBS 350W unrestricted caused no issues so I am of the thinking like Kirstin that the GSM unrestricted pulls more amps.
Couple the GSM motor only with 48V controller and 12 - 15s lipo and the speed could be quite immense and 35 - 40 may be very gettable.
