Hi, the outer cable ( next to the charging body) on the charger has ripped, the inner wires are showing, there is also some movement in the cable that is attached to the charger body. I carry my charger to my work, I must have packed it incorrectly and torn the cable. There is a lot of chargers on Amazon / eBay, I am assuming that if it has the CE mark they should be ok, looking for brand recommendations.
Laptop charger makers anticipate this bag storage damage problem and fit right angled connectors at one end, like my HP, Sony and Acer. Here's my grubby Sony:
If the charger works, I'd be tempted to remove the AC 3 pin plug, untwist those wires, slip over some 4:1 self adhesive marine heat shrink (it sets into a shape, mouldable/adjustable while hot), then hot glue it to the bottom of the charger's case so it doesn't happen again. The boffins here may advise as to whether doing so is at all wise.
Its high shrink ratio makes it ideal for sealing large components and irregular shapes. NOT the lay flat width of the heat shrink. As a guide, the lay-flat width of our heat shrink is below Shrink Temperature: 90 °c.

Any 36v/42v 1.8a - 2a charger will work , you need one with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm dc jack fitted. Plenty on the two main market web place sites.
Simply select the two pieces of detail mentioned above from the drop down boxes.

I saw that in my searches and was attracted by that seller's truly epic rating (for a supplier of ebike goods), and the apparent inclusion of a cooling fan, which seems to be a desirable feature to look for in a power supply.
Very tempted.
If its a seller on Amazon\eBay then unless they are a trusted UK supplier, I would not rely on the CE mark being geniune.
Compared to Amazon, there is a very limited time period allowed for reviews and feedback on ebay... and dead men tell no tales...
dont forget half the world has just dumped the dollar and if they dont raise the debt celling on the 1st they default.
the fan cant handle that much $hit
They'll simply magic into existence bigger fans as usual, devaluing everything to continue, and do it all over again later.
