EU law EN15194 - the electric motor won’t assist you when you’re travelling more than 25 km/h (15.5mph); and the power doesn’t exceed 250 watts. SWX02-C Motor is labelled at 250 watt for EU import but is capable of 350 watt. There's no such thing as legal wattage. There's no regulation on it other than your bike mustn't burn out. You might as well set it to maximum and use the normal levels on the LCD to regulate the power.
That's incorrect. It's the rated power that must be 250w or lower, not the motor's actual power. If your motor is labelled 250w, it's legal. You can then use a 48v battery and a 25 amp controller for 1000w input power (around 700w output) if you want and still be legal. If it's labelled 350w, you can't use it legally, even if it's identical in all other respects.EU law EN15194 - the electric motor won’t assist you when you’re travelling more than 25 km/h (15.5mph); and the power doesn’t exceed 250 watts. great advise! thanksYou only have to really make sure of one thing and that is when the hub is fitted make sure the hub axle slit is at the bottom so that the motor cable exits down and then forms a drip loop to stop water ingressing in to the motor.
Bafang make various versions of the same motor: 36V/48V, 12A/15A/17A and various speeds. The version with lower speed, higher voltage and higher current will have higher maximum torque.can somebody tell me power/torque of bafang bfswx02 36v 250w motor ?because any website does not tell that information.
The SWX02 is a 250w motor. The torque and output power are determined by the amount of current and voltage you give it. What Bafang or anybody else says about it is meaningless. How much voltage and current you can give it depends to some extent on which speed version you have.can somebody tell me power/torque of bafang bfswx02 36v 250w motor ?because any website does not tell that information.
Here it is in the photo. Should i measure ERD?Give us the rim size or tyre dimensions, we'll see.
Are you going to keep the rim? Here it is in the photo. Should i measure ERD?
Understand. Actually i bought motor without rim. Now i am thinking should i use current rim to convert, or should i buy a new one with spokes ? I am not sure where to find second hand rim for my request. Are you going to keep the rim?
Most conversion kits come with a completely made up wheel, motor, rim, spokes and rim tape.
Building a motor wheel with that old rim is not only time consuming, it also does not save you any money.
