Bring in a law like they have in France, cars have to pass cyclists with 1m clearance in towns and 1.5m outside towns. Do that over here and then getting cyclists cylcing both ways in a 20mph limit about 1m from the kerb means cars would have lots of problems overtaking which would slow them down.

I think the power of the motor is not what needs limiting, it is the speed. 250w in Holland may be great where 99% of the country is flat and probably 80%+ cycle anyway so they are fairly fit and elec assist is just a bonus. In countries like the UK with plenty of hills and even some mountains...

D8veh, dont know if you have fitted one of these on a Trike but having looked on their website the obvious question is where do you clamp the bracket to because on a normal bike its to the frame in front of the crank but on a trike the crank is at the front of a boom so there is nothing in front...
