    Newbie needing touring bike

I too would be tempted by these bikes from what I’ve read about the Fazua motor. However, for the same money you could buy a good spec traditional tourer (or use an existing one) and fit a lightweight kit like the Aikema 85SX. This is the setup I have (with my Thorn Tour) and it is working well...

Urgent help please with rattling Kalkhoff battery.

Sorry, can’t remember exactly. Bit trial and error. You can use more than one if needed.

Urgent help please with rattling Kalkhoff battery.

I used to use the little felt pads you get to stick on the bottom of furniture legs. They always seemed to do the trick.

Hi looking for advice on folding electric bikes

As you are probably aware, any bike should be able to do what is required so the decision you need to make is how good a bike you would like / can afford. I‘ve not heard of the first two but the Wisper is a well regarded bike (but a bit bulky imho) and the GoCycle GX is well reviewed and very...

    Battery

If you mean Battery capacity In Amp Hours (Ah) Then increasing this will cause no problems so long as it’s still 24v.

    Kalkhoff power?

I can’t find a figure for the Panasonic quoted anywhere. The impulse 1 was rated 40NM and was more powerful than the Panasonic. I really liked the Panasonic motor I once had on a old Raleigh Dover but it was noticeably less powerful than the original impulse motor that replaced it on Kalkhoff...

    Kalkhoff power?

Is it the 26v Panasonic motor or the Daum impulse motor? I think the impulse motor replaced the Panasonic sometime in 2011/2012.

    Rear hub questions wooshbikes

Hub motors have less to go wrong and don’t cause wear to the drivetrain and these are the main reasons for recommending them for commuting. Woosh are highly recommended. I would recommend a frame battery placement to keep weight lower down and more central. I rate the lightweight Aikema motor...

Opening a shop, which brands are the best??

From their contributions/engagement on here I would suggest you talk with Wisper and Juicy Bike. Other UK based ebike specialists include Volt, Batribike and Oxygen who get mentioned from time to time but are not actively engaged on this forum. I would recommend Woosh but they do not sell...

Woosh Rio 17 Ah will a 3 amp charger be ok for this battery

36v is the nominal voltage. Actual voltage of fully charged cells will be around 42v hence the charger rating.

Help! secondhand dilema WISPER 705 OR THE BIG BEAR?

I would be looking for original purchase receipt. How old are they? Regardless of miles, old batteries degrade. What size battery is on Wisper? Any damage to them? Overall condition (any rusty bits)? I have ridden both these bikes in the past and things may have changed depending on how old they...

    Tandem Conversion Kit

For lightweight I like the Aikema 85SX available from Woosh. If you are just wanting help on the hills rather than Moped like assistance I believe you’d be very happy with this. More power is available with other motors if you want the motor to do more of the work.

    Conversion kit.

I guess this will partly depend on the kit you go with. I have a 10 speed cassette on my Aikema 85SX and standard anti-rotation washers are fine. Larger more powerful motors may be different but I think torque arms are more important on front wheel hubs afaik.

    Tandem Conversion Kit

Should be easy enough to fit a hub motor to either wheel. Disk brakes not a problem. What gears and wheel size? If you haven’t seen it already, have a look at the Woosh range of hub motor kits (out of stock currently). That will give you a good idea of choices and weights. Someone on here fitted...

    Conversion kit.

I agree with all previous comments. I swapped my front hub conversion to the Aikema motor from Woosh and it‘s so much better (noise and vibration).
