    Bafang Max Drive bikes

Not bad... But 'off-road mode' not so good for compliance with current UK regulations :(

Full Susser 8fun rear hub drive Ebike for under a Grand!

Spares will follow if/when the Max Drives becomes more recognised in the UK market. Let us not forget it whooped the other 11 out of 12 teams in the 24hr Challenge around Nurgurgring a couple of years back. All other 11 teams were on Bosch powered motors and I'm not actually sure they all even...

Full Susser 8fun rear hub drive Ebike for under a Grand!

I'm certainly NOT going to buy one of these to find out just how durable they are, but I would like to thrash one around for a weekend and see how it stands up. Perhaps I would be pleasantly surprised? Nevertheless, even used for pootling around the roads I still question how easy servicing...

I find it great fun making little tweaks and improving the performance to suit your needs. It's not all about raising the power to go like a bat out of hell, finding a happy medium that provides a balance of power and range is the go! Once familiar with programming techniques, it;s easy to store...

Full Susser 8fun rear hub drive Ebike for under a Grand!

Sure, they will likely sell to the right type of customer. The hub will last well no doubt, the battery should manage pretty well too, but I'd wager that rear end will soon develop adverse free play, and if used off road the fork legs to the lowers likewise. As an overall bike I consider these...

The throttle tab has not bearing on anything at present. 11A could be a little too low to appreciate the motor, especially with keep current at 30%. Perhaps try 14-15A and keep current around 40%. That should give a nice balance of sufficient power when needed but maintain decent range...

Full Susser 8fun rear hub drive Ebike for under a Grand!

Unlike the max drive cross and other style max drive bike with mudguards and rear rack, I do not rate these off road offerings anywhere near decent :( Thought process predominately surrounding ease of servicing and how rewarding ownership would be. Sorry to put a bummer on them, just my opinion...

The cable plugs into the green Higo connector where the display currently does, no need to remove anything to do that. Totally agree that the battery performance is underwhelming. I don't think I'll go up to 48V, but will spec. something up to 36V approx. 15Ah with continuous discharge rating...

    Anyone seen Samsung 33G cells?

My thoughts entirely. 1-4 bucks each aint right either, surely? It's an odd one. I'm looking to spec up some new packs and intrigued by the prospect of them. Will likely stick to the old tried and tested. Sent using this crappy tapatalk app. that has such poor functionality I can't even click...

    BBSxx Mid Drive Conversion

Regarding the electromagnetic brake sensors and fitting to Shimano BR-M315 levers, I've found this tricky to make work successfully, owing to the shape of the levers and how the pivot action works. If you do succeed, please post some photos :) Sent using this crappy tapatalk app. that has such...
