Anybody got experience of "Juicy" e bikes?

We had a Juicy Click and it was excellent, I tried the Ticket at the bike show in 2018 and it was good, As Juicy say bikes are becoming lighter so maybe there is not the need for mega powerful motors and huge batteries if you have a lighter bike.

How to get higher top speed

Make up your mind, one minute you say you use your Focus for commuting to work, so it would make it illegal if you de-restricted it, then you say you only use it on private trails. Not to mention adding to the confusion by mentioning the fact you were contemplating buying a Cube.

How to get higher top speed

Cyclist with 80cc engine on their mountain bike failed to stop for police then fell into a bush

Obviously not otherwise you would not be riding it, you can't cherry pick the rules you want and disregard the others and then moan about other peoples illegal choices.

    First e-bike Raleigh or Carrera

Personally I would not touch the Crossfire with a barge pole, I would be more inclined at that price to go for a Wisper, Woosh or Juicy all well regarded on this site , but each to their own.

Which one I should go for?

If I was buying a hub drive again it would certainly be from( in no particular order) Woosh,Wisper or Juicy.

£1000 cycle 2 work halfords crappy voucher

Possibly so, however I use my bikes at the rate of over 2000 miles a year so not that lightly and while I have nothing but praise for certain hub motors i.e. Wisper 905se, Juicy, they cannot match the climbing ability of a crank motor around the Peak District and that applies both to Bosch and...

£1000 cycle 2 work halfords crappy voucher

Do you own a new version of the Crossfire so you can make an informed opinion about their reliability? my opinions are based on having actually owning the bikes I comment on ie Carrera Crossfuse,Crossfirex2, Wisper 905se, Juicy Click, Viking Folder and Haibike Hardseven as oppose to youtube...

Which one I should go for?

I would go for the 905se I did over 2000 miles on mine with no problems.

£1000 cycle 2 work halfords crappy voucher

And you only have to look on this forum to see how many people have had problems with the above models( more than any other type of hub motor) There are plenty of couriers using Carrera Crossfuse bikes with the Bosch motor on youtube as well, The opinions I have given are based on personal...

I returned 2 Crossfires in 2017 for multiple cutouts so it looks like someone is telling porkys about the bikes.

Torque v cadence - which has more efficient battery usage (my wife's battery ran out, mine did not...)?

The ALP engine will be much better up the hills and use less battery, I have used both the ALP and a Wisper 905 around the Peak District and while the Wisper is excellent the ALP is better up steep hills power and battery wise.

    Help! Bosch mode problems

And just to balance the scales, I did 2400 miles the year before on a Wisper 905se costing about the same which was a hub motor without any problems, the only difference being, it was not as capable going up steep hills. So the moral of the story is that both types of motors are capable and...

    Help! Bosch mode problems

2500 miles on my Carrera Crossfuse with Bosch Activeline Plus motor around the Peak District including plenty of climbs at 12/14% bike cost £1150 from Halfords new and still going strong, I reckon that is easily comparable to a hub motor, and just for information that was done in 18 months at...

    Help! Bosch mode problems

There can be problems with all types of motors, I have done 1000s of miles on bikes with Bosch motors and had no problems, The problems I have had have been with hub motors, mainly the Carrera Crossfire.

    Buying advice

Carrera Crossfuse is very capable with the Activeline Plus motor.

    Delimiting / tuning

As I said before irrelevant as he already has the bike. I certainly wouldn't risk it on hearsay.
