Carrera Crossfuse (Active Line Plus) struggling with hills

I have owned both these models and found the Crossfuse the better of the two, The reliability of the Bosch engine in the Crossfuse is far superior, the ride feels more natural on the Crossfuse. I have not found any problems climbing hills and I live in the Peak District.

Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 625 AllRoad

Ignore the range indicator until you have ridden the bike for a while and then it will show the true readings, it takes a while for it to start the true estimations. Are you sure the brakes are not binding? as the cx motor is very capable of climbing.

Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 625 AllRoad

How steep a hill? I have a activeline plus motor and quite often go up 10/12% hills with no problem in eco/tour mode and get over 60 miles with a 400 battery and my bike weighs exactly the same.
