jimmy no longer recells bosch battery's !

I still find the five bars useful. I have a 4 year old Cube with a CX motor which has now done around 7,000 miles nearly all off road. On my average 35 to 40 mile ride I always come home with 3 bars showing. The only time I can remember having 2 bars was a ride that did 5,000ft in 25 miles then...

    Pedelec Law - The Details

I agree that everything at night should be well lit but my query was regarding reflectors in the daytime, which happen to be covered by the lighting regs.

    Pedelec Law - The Details

Many thanks for the reply. Would these lighting regulations for public roads also extend to PROW’s, in particular, bridleways?

    Pedelec Law - The Details

I know that the above comments pertain to bells but I was wondering if the same applied to the use, after purchase, of pedal and spoke reflectors. I ask because I recently came across a Facebook site devoted to banning all cyclists from using canal towpaths. The main voice on that site is...

this is really a big problem. The electric motor touches the brake. Please advise.

Paint them with black Hammerite. I’ve dabbed all my metal bolt heads to prevent rust.

ebike shop takes the pi$$ This product is restricted to 'Our bike customers'.

I didn't Think that he had to take the bike back at all unless you bought it online and it was within 14 days, unless there was something wrong with it. I run a business and buy parts to keep my customers running, I don’t have to sell them to other people. I know nothing about Ebike shop, just...

    Frame Locks - 27.5+ tyres

Had a frame lock for a couple of years. From memory they sell a narrow, standard and wide, hove you got the correct one? Mine fits my 2.5 inch tyres. Rather than dump it why not fit the wheel in with the tyre deflated.

    Punture

I’m currently on holiday in South Wales and yesterday went down a narrow lane which had just had the hedges on both sides flayed. On my return I counted 5 thorns in the front tyre and my partner had two. Both tyres are still at full pressure after another ride today and the thorns are still in...

    Gas or electric soldering irons?

I must have a soldering iron fetish as I’ve just counted 8 irons in my workshop. Three electric, two gas, one hot air, one AA battery pen type and a rod with a pointed block of copper on the end that you had to warm up on a gas ring. My favourite is the Weller station but the gas or pen types...

bosch embt assitance mode - how to use it ?

I experimented and changed back to sport mode. I can decide when and how much more assistance I want. Sport gives a no messing instant increase in assistance.

e-Bike on a bike rack. With or without the battery?

Bizarrely, I've carried the bike on the back of the car loads of times in the rain and when I stop the car the bike is dry. Perhaps it is getting a blow dry whilst the car is moving. Obviously it gets wet whilst stationary.

Tow hitch and then a bike rack for a 2017 Toyota Auris Hybrid

No problem. I think that they charged me around £400 plus I bought a two bike rack from Altera for around £250 which has been brilliant. Not cheap altogether as you say but a lot cheaper than a new car and there was no way I was going to hang two bikes on the boot lid.

Why has the Nexus 8 speed hub gear not caught on?

To change one sprocket on my Shimano XT takes between 1and 2 seconds. Almost too quick to time.

Tow hitch and then a bike rack for a 2017 Toyota Auris Hybrid

Two main dealers, Burrows in my area, said I couldn’t have a tow ball on a hybrid. The third, another Burrows said no problem it’s listed in Toyota accessories. Mine was listed as for an Auris but also fitted the Prius. Perhaps they should call it a rack ball. Either way it’s a perfect bit of...

Tow hitch and then a bike rack for a 2017 Toyota Auris Hybrid

You need a “non towing towball” which can be fitted to the Auris, Prius and Corolla hybrids by any Toyota dealer. Mine was fitted to my Prius hybrid and cost £400. The only difference is that the ball has two small pegs, one either side of the ball, to stop a normal hitch fitting on the ball...

how drivers see you based on the clothes you wear.

The answer to that then would be to eliminate cars, bikes, power tools and confine everyone to bed. Oh, and ban electric blankets.
