    Mine is a vibration sensing one but it wasn't on the bike when it was stolen a few weeks ago. However I did have an alarm combined with a rear light under the saddle. Took the thief 30 seconds to snip the chain and ride off with the alarm sounding.

    They cut the chain. I intended to put the Abus lock around a fork stantion + wheel + something solid but it is a bit short. Still, with the disk lock on and everything adding up to about 25kg they are not going to make a quick getaway carrying it.

    I insured my Cube for £3000 with Legal and General on the home insurance, mid term. It cost £45 including a £25 admin fee. It was stolen three weeks ago and I was paid out £3000 within 10 days. Gold locks are not much deterrent.

    Is it worth using a tracker?

    I've just had my bike stolen and was paid out in 10 days by Legal and General. It covered the full cost of the bike buy not accessories such as rack, lights etc. They said that I should have valued the bike to include these. Incidentally, they never questioned what lock was on it at the time...
