Regarding cable entry on front hub motor. On installation videos, some fit pointing down while others pointing up. Which is correct? I think down so rain don't run down the cable into the motor. Create a drip loop like in outside electrics I guess it's called.

Just stick throttle on then. I was going to modify a cheap exstention cable with reed switch and shrink wrap. Don't fancy cutting in the original wiring loom tbh. Magnet will do the on off.. If this works out for me, I plan to build another bike with something more exciting.
