Electric Mountain Bikes: No one will buy one?!..

In answer to point 5, s-pedelecs cut off assist at around 28mph, whereas a dongled bike removes the speed limiter and will assist to over 30 mph i believe.

Can electrifying a bike be this easy?

I have the bbs02 and can't say that i have noticed any drag at all with the motor off. I think it can be really easy to think there is drag on any pedelec as you get lulled by the ease of peddling with the motor and then have the stark reality of peddling what is a considerably heavier bike...

About to buy BBS02 750w kit

@tony2311, sounds like there is something amiss there bro, i have a Mosso 29er with the bbs02 750 with the same battery as you and i did 22.1 miles the other week, assist level 7 of 9 and averaged 21 mph over the ride which included the out half of a local tt which I averaged over 24mph .and my...

Unfit, overweight, bad knees, no hair but own teeth!

The Mosso that d8veh linked to doesn't require any peddling at all when using the throttle ( I have one ) and will do any hill you like on throttle only without peddling if you so wish.

    Hybrid Bike Recomendation Needed

As I said before, lovely bike and wonderfully built but that doesn't alter the fact that it is second hand and as has been seen on countless occasions on this forum how much it cost to buy / build does not save it from some serious depreciation, especially in the first year, regardless of how...

    2016 Haibike xDuro³ Bosch eBikes

Mmm, i find myself a little disappointed in that, i was hoping to see something in the 15s especially as it will undoubtedly be scary expensive. I suppose it goes to show that when you start pushing the technology the gains become much smaller.

    New Kalkhoff Evo.

I mentioned yesterday in another thread that I quite liked the look of the integrale and I have to say that it has grown on me even more since then . I like the styling of the integrated battery finishing short of the top tube, for me it makes for a much more modern design, setting itself apart...

News: Bosch announces 2016 e-bike system features

Iam certainly glad to hear that bosch have acknowledged the need for the option of a larger battery pack . Although I think I would have been happier if they had gone to 600 , but at least it's a step in the right direction.

    New kalkhoffs

What do we think? On first view i quite like them. I think they have done a good job of integrating such a large capacity battery (17 ah )

    Bafang Mid Drive Range

@ docotorprox, I have been really pleased with the 750w. Power is nice and progressive and the motor incredibly quiet. I have not found it overkill as the controller is programmed so that with the pas you only get 60 % of maximum power even on level 9, maximum power is only delivered using the...

    Bafang Mid Drive Range

I have a BBS02 750w equipped 29er with the 400wh 48v battery and have done 20 miles at pas level 6 -7 of 9 with half the battery left. I would estimate that 40, maybe 50 miles would be doable at those pas levels. I assume that 70 would also be achievable at lower assist levels although I have...

Help! Which bike for 6 mile hilly commute

Hi Commuter1, As you mentioned that you weren't concerned about " slight illegality " i thought i would suggest this , eBay item no 181551942498 . I bought this a year ago and whilst i realise that it is above your budget i made an offer of under £1200 and it was accepted . I have now done 750...
