    Winter Gloves

I've used ski gloves before but as they aren't designed for biking they have no re-inforecements across the palms and always end up ripping at the seams. I ended up buying gore gloves and they've been spot on - the amount I've spent trying to find good gloves a I could have bought three pairs...

Hacking and the is the AA battery dead?

Actually, cr123's are on the way out, with worldwide production falling by nearly 10% for the last 5 years. AA's on the other hand are increasing and in particular AA nimh rechargeable low self discharge (eneloop etc) showing strong demand. I think I'll be fine for cr123's though for the...

    Professional ebike consultancy charges

Well my company (Hewlett Packard) have quite an extensive graduate program - part of their move to an industrialized delivery system (which is corporate speak for " they are cheaper than the staff who have been here for 20 years"). Had three start here just last week.

Bosch - what is all the fuss about...

Many others would disagree. My battery placement isn't far off that - albeit a little lower - never had any issues with it - and I do some pretty aggressive riding at times, even when having a pannier bag on the other side with a 3kg laptop in it.

    Sale of BH bikes.

I don't see a problem with Kudos's first post imo. They are bonafide signed up dealer on these forums and the post is clearly a sales thread, not masquerading as anything else and it isn't intruding on anyone elses discussion. As for being free marketing - the dealers pay for the privilege.

Problem with Chinese postal service ?

Not my problem - that's for HobbyKing to sort out. You only have 45 days to raise a dispute with PayPal and I've waited long enough. As far as I'm concerned I've paid HobbyKing for a service and that service hasn't been provided.

    Lithium Polymer Safety

Well, not perfectly safe ;-) But safe enough to not have to take any special precautions :-) To make my point - do you have a mobile phone or a tablet? They have lithium polymer batteries in them. Do you take any special precautions with those items? Also, 95% of laptop batteries are made...

Yeah, I'm currently waiting fro a few lipo packs from HobbyKing - ordered on 9/09/2012 - so I've just opened a paypal dispute to get a refund. I'll re-order from HK Germany or the UK store if they've got the packs I want.

    Swapping hydraulic lines over

Nail - on - head. When I did a friends bike and re-used the olive he said "why do the instructions say to always fit a new olive then?" I answered "because they cost 5p to make but they sell them for £4.99!".

    Swapping hydraulic lines over

The pins can be reused. I also re-use olives all the time. If it leaks then replace it, if it doesn't then jobs a good 'un. I reckon I only have to use new olives 1 out of every 5 fitments. They normally become unusable if if they are done up too tight.

    Rise in parts thefts

I just don't leave my good bikes any place where this can happen. If I'm going to leave a bike in a risky place, I take the £50 dumpster bike - I couldn't care less if it gets stolen or parts nicked from it (in fact, if they can get the rusty bolts off they are welcome to whatever part the...
