Rear axle nut external size on Bafang BFSWX02?

Already on M+ tyres... I'm just paranoid lol Now I'm realizing this torque arm might not quite fit with it rotated how it needs to be and so it goes on...

Rear axle nut external size on Bafang BFSWX02?

Even if someone does, it could be 22mm while others are 23mm, or 23mm while others are 22mm lol. When I eventually get mine I'll just fit it with an adjustable to start with and get hold of a 6-point ring spanner that size, maybe cutting it down to 6" like flecc suggests above, although I can...

Rear axle nut external size on Bafang BFSWX02?

Cheers Whoosh I didn't even think about that. I'm just trying to avoid riding around with a Bahco adjustable spanner, probably 3 times heavier than a 1-size spanner.

Rear axle nut external size on Bafang BFSWX02?

Cheers folks. The left nut on that diagram shows flats top and bottom, the right nut shows the top and bottom as 2 points. Although it seems to be 22m on that diagram, some parts of it aren't to scale when other parts are, so overall it's not to scale.

Rear axle nut external size on Bafang BFSWX02?

I know these axle nuts are M12 internally with a 1.25mm pitch thread, but does anyone know what size spanner is needed on the outside? Are they 22mm? I got the schematic and made it actual size. Measuring the left axle nut it is 22mm so I am guessing that's right? Cheers.

Are "Axle Release" levers safe to use on hub motor wheels?

I was thinking about using them on a rear hub motor (BFSWX02) then I realised there's going to be a cable coming from the middle of the axle, along with the rear mech being in the way. OK back to considering mid drive again.

Are "Axle Release" levers safe to use on hub motor wheels?

Back in 2014 when I had my Clean Republic Hill Topper 250W front hub motor kit, I used a pair of these Axle Release quick release levers. Are they safe to use on a hub motor? On a 250W I assume they are safe, because Clean Republic are still offering them with their Hill Topper kit now in...

Lekkie Bling Ring 42t - Anyone know the chainline on a 68mm BB?

Cheers, yes I think I worked out I might need a 2mm spacer with the Lekkie and perhaps five 1mm washers to space it to a maximum of 3mm in total but it won't need more than that... plus also then it needs 5 bolts that are 3mm longer. Safety first!

Lekkie Bling Ring 42t - Anyone know the chainline on a 68mm BB?

Does anyone know what the chainline ends up at if using a Lekkie 42t Bling Ring on a 68mm bottom bracket, on the Bafang BBS02? All I can find is stuff like "9mm offset" but that's meaningless to me, I just want to know what the chainline is! The Lekkie website says: "Offset: 9mm – see User...

Is this a silly theory? Torque arms and rear suspension...

Cheers Whoosh. My current chainline is set at 50mm because I spaced it that way fitting my crankset last time I was doing it. With a triple + 11s cassette it runs perfectly.

Fit 11-Speed MTB cassette to Bafang BFSWX02 rear hub motor?

Since swapping to 11-Speed (MTB) I have been unimpressed with it and wouldn't mind just swapping back to 9-Speed again even if I don't convert it to electric. Despite using XTR shifters/XT rear mech and SLX cassette, it just doesn't shift as well as 8-Speed and 9-Speed did. It truly is a...

Fit 11-Speed MTB cassette to Bafang BFSWX02 rear hub motor?

Only on road bikes, not on MTB. On MTB the largest sprocket is so big nowadays, they can offset the cassette and have it further in towards the spokes, which is how they do it without needing a longer freehub body. On road bikes that typically stops at a 25t or 28t low sprocket, so they can't...

Is this a silly theory? Torque arms and rear suspension...

Cheers vfr400. Yes I keep looking at either a rear hub or a mid-drive, I have ruled out a front hub completely. The only thing putting me off the mid-drive is all the talk about chains derailing etc. A guy with a tandem and a 73mm bottom bracket shell said his chainline (on his BBS02) came out...

Whoosh your website is probably the best I have seen for detailing all the stuff I want to know like torque and battery range :)

Is this a silly theory? Torque arms and rear suspension...

People with rear hub motors put a torque arm (or two) on their dropouts to help relieve the stress caused by the hub motor, but when you have got rear suspension and the motor applies power, is this not also making your rear triangle move upwards slightly? Think about it, the wheel rotates...

Fit 11-Speed MTB cassette to Bafang BFSWX02 rear hub motor?

That might be the case but I am trying to avoid having to buy a 9-Speed shifter + cassette + chain when I already have all of those items in 11-Speed.

Fit 11-Speed MTB cassette to Bafang BFSWX02 rear hub motor?

No. I have already got an XTR M9000 right shifter, XT M8000 rear mech and SLX 11-40t M7000 cassette on my bike at the moment (not an eBike... yet). I want to keep all my gears as they are so the bike can easily be put back to normal again if I ever want to. This is also why I don't want a...

Fit 11-Speed MTB cassette to Bafang BFSWX02 rear hub motor?

Sorry this is the third time posting this, but the other 2 posts aren't showing up (because I edited them and it's my first post?!) Does anyone know if an 11-Speed MTB cassette can be fitted to this rear hub motor? Bafang BFSWX02 48V 500W (G020.500.DC) The cassette is a bog-standard Shimano...

Awaiting approval before being displayed publicly ?

I think it might be happening to me (the thread was about almost the same subject, the freehub body on a Bafang rear hub motor) but I didn't put any links in the post. Posted about 12h ago but says "Awaiting approval before being displayed publicly."...
