My Bike is the Most Efficient

It's all a compromise really, the Gtech's weight is in it's favour to a degree but you need to pick the right tool for the job. I do 3 mile commuting in traffic, lack of gears and light steering are an advantage in stop start traffic for me. I could have quite easily bought a motorcycle to...

    Bike theif Car spotters needed

Was it your new Trek that was stolen?. We have a while Kuga, hard to tell if the car in the reflection is one but it's deffinitely a Ford. Have you driven round the back of the Circus to look for 11 plate Fords yet?.

My Bike is the Most Efficient

For me the best part of the Gtech is the push away from the lights and help with the wind and hills. I set off on it the other day without turning it on and it was instantly noticeable. I did put this in my review and the reasons why I chose the bike (low maintenance singe speed, the hub motor...

I don't think much to the coating on the Bosch motors

You'll always suffer that with aluminium casings, stone chips etc expose the aluminium and the water creeps under the paint and starts oxidising it. We see it all the time with motorcycle's (especially scooter belt covers). Normal where the aluminium is unfinished from the factory it goes...

Anyone got a suspension seatpost ?

I never found one with the option of light meduim or heavy spring, I don't know if the later versions just ship with one fits all?. There's plenty of adjustment on the preload (16 turns?). Sometimes I have 5gk in my rucksack and it copes fine on half preload (93 kg total).

What do you do to prevent theft of your e-bikes/battery?

Is that because they pass out in awe of it's exclusive designer status?. I've seen people spontaneous combust due to excessive heat caused by jealousy just standing within a 20 foot radius of one, only very special people can actually own them ;).

What do you do to prevent theft of your e-bikes/battery?

I take mine into work and it's in the house at home, not a fan of leaving any bike out in the open!.

Anyone got a suspension seatpost ?

I have the Suntour NCX, mine came with a spring rated from 60kg to 100kg, set preload to middle setting and it's been excellent (I'm 78kg). The fit and finish is superb, very nice bit of kit!.

Motorists to be prosecuted for passing cyclist with less than 1.5mtr clearance!

I've seen it get gradually worse over the last 10 years, used to be rare to get close passes by a car but now it's nearly a daily occurrence..

    Rohloff/gearbox question/s!

I've had derailleur equipped bikes for over 30 years now, fancied a change!. One has fixed speed and carbon belt, the other has near infinite adjustable gearing (within range).

What does your choice of bike say about YOU?

It's never as good as a Gtech..

Come on then, who is jealous? :-)

Android for me (Samsung S5 is still going strong). Wouldn't have an i-phone given personally..
