Mentioned the Lidl bike stand to the wife and she said they had them on offer at £20!. Used it this morning on my Carrera project and it's excellent, even put up with me swinging off the bottom bracket to remove it (cartridge was in bloody tight!). Very happy!.

I work with a lad who used to knock wing mirrors off cars that intensionally cut him up (while on his motorcycle). He's calmed down a bit now as he's got older!.

Some people say leave it on charge for a couple of days to "balance" the pack. Don't know if this is just for LiPo though?.

My Gtech softens the assist at 15mph and doesn't surge. I believe the call it hysteresis, if you're bouncing around the cut off point the controller needs some lag or hysteresis programmed in to stop the surging.

Yeh, thanks for the feedback. I will be getting a Samsung celled battery, seem to be highly regarded. Think 12ah should be more than enough for what I want out of it. Have you got yours working again?.

Good work!. The Gtech deffinitely helps you out but doesn't do all the work for you, takes the sting out of wind and hills but you have to put the effort in as well.

I use mostly Halfords Pro at home and there's not much in it. Over the last 10 years you can see more and more Snap-on tools being outsourced. All their battery impact tools are Chinese made but to be fair Ive had my 3/8ths 14.4v for 6 years in daily use and it's still going strong..
