    Brexit, for once some facts.

Except you cheated, on the EU, and failed to properly collect the due taxes from the multi-nationals that you lured to that wonderful Island of yours. As I recall much of the support you got came came directly from the UK?

I do agree, absolutely and I think I said that in reply to Woosh? There's an element of pyramid selling in all of this and as with all such schemes they come to an end at some point in the future. There is only the one market in the EU although I concede that the poorer countries will be buying...

Let me add to that. When to tide turns and the richer countries find themselves exporting less and less and have less money in their pockets... what happens then to the EU dream?

Economic sense or economic argument - would you listen or simply pour scorn? - is there any point to this, why do you ask? It should be obvious to anyone what the arguments are, from both sides. That doesn't make either of us right - does it? Or wrong either come to that, but we all have our...

Absolutely nothing in a post-brexit world. But how would the EU cope with true free-trade. As it stands it is simply bringing everyone down to an equal level. It will be down of course in an internal market.

So what happens when the likes of Slovakia have acquired the skills to make their own cars and retain the profits?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That's as good a generalisation as saying that each Tory Government is followed by one that spends more than we have. Incoming Tory Government clears the debt, creates a surplus only to be succeeded by another lot who spend, spend, spend until they get kicked out. Incoming Tories inherit an...

Even worse perhaps.. 28 guys in a Bar, three or four of them are buying the drinks, the rest happily getting sloshed - one of the buyers want's to go home. The rest carry on drinking for the next ten years having extracted the bar bill from the guy that went home. Not all 27 make it to ten years...

This is probably one of the best points made yet. Not so sure it could be seen as a good investment but that is essentially what we are being asked to do. - albeit without any chance of a return, irrespective of whether or not the EU comes good. If we do pay the suggested divorce bill then we...

Probably not and I note that at least TB isn't on the list, makes sense to me.

It does in my book, but hard to quantify of course. A bit like a cash-flow projection is never a certainty. There are no certainties here, not for either side, it all comes down to a fundamental belief in what the future holds. Do we go straight on or do we change course?

It's well named for sure. Not sure why but I was referring to "Having just been on the Airbus site Having seen the so called beluga aircraft in the flesh as it were, it is a sight for sore eyes.. I laughed out loud the first time I saw it at Nantes. It looks sort of like an ordinary passenger...

You are indeed sounding like Nick Clegg. I really do not think that the UK population ever thought that when we joined the EU it was to become a complete integral part of the EU. That was probably the start of the lie? There seems to be a habit of this with the INDYRef1 and no doubt INDYRef2...

UK one of course. You do sound very similar to Nick Clegg at times and I don't mean to insult you.

Again, not a bad response, but there is a limit to what can prove acceptable to a majority of people. I spend a lot of time in the US, my wife is a US citizen. There is no comparison, the gap between the have's and the have-not's is huge! Gated communities are everywhere. Europe is totally...

Good response, reasonably balanced and polite. Not for me of course and whilst I don't take issue with your view of 'protectionist' - I agree totally, but, that was not what I meant - I was talking trade protectionist. I am all for NATO for a start albeit even that has a mixed history, with the...

Surely, this needs to be allowed to pan out? There is a lot at stake and certainly, on the surface, there does appear to be a case of 'unfair' financial support for Bombardier. Boeing/USA and Airbus are far from innocents here and it might be a good thing all round to get this whole thing out...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Very good, hopefully not the outcome any more than a so-called consensus government would be the answer. Going off piste there but OG will know what I mean. Remember this is a negotiation with continual public comment and by its very nature you will get differing stories - stops people...
