What a load of old rubbish!

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Makes sense to me and in this case probably the sooner the better! The parties can either agree to share the resultant bill or winner takes all.

Not quite, the EU is trying to be the Judge as well as one of the parents. I doubt that the parent that wasn't granted custody would have the final say in how the children were raised by the other half. Quite what happens to the children in the case of an EU National and a UK one when they...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Totally agreed - certainly, from a UK perspective it has always been the case that we saw the EU as primarily a trading block and it therefore makes sense that when it comes to BREXIT the emphasis will be on trade and not much else truth be told. We obviously have some obligations to meet, if...

Surely, this is nonsense. To take the marriage example it would be illogical to discuss the financial settlement without having resolved access to the kids first. Same here surely.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Ha Had it been by just a single vote, the obligation to a referendum wouldn't have been any different - the result was that we leave. I suspect that even if the vote had been by a majority of 5M that wouldn't have changed the views of those that voted to remain. It was a simple question with...

So, I guess that you are saying that JRM speaks with forked tongue, or words to that effect? You may be right of course but there are many others for whom that is not in question – they do tell lies and most of the time, especially when it comes to Brexit! As others have implied to refer to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Welcome indeed and many thanks. Much as I applaud Winston Churchill and his ideas for a United States of Europe, time has, of course, marched on and what may well have fitted the world as he saw it at the time – things change, often for the worst. People adapt, take advantage perhaps and to a...

New member advice on new ebike please

Finding it very hard to dismiss the Winora Radius Urban and for that matter to source them - they seem quite rare which I take to mean production to be virtually sold out. Bit of a worry that people seem able to break the 3 speed hubs, is there any collaboration of this or is it that people down...

    Hello fae Dundee!

Many thanks for the thoughts, I'm probably old enough not to care too much, after all the hair has gone along with the six-pack - not the memories though! I now seem fairly settled on one of the 20" bikes with the Winora Radius Urban being hard to shake off. Not an easy bike to source for sure...

Thanks for the offer I will see how this pans out first ,as you'll have guessed the smaller bikes seem to have the most appeal - but only just the R&M does look the part. Peter

Is it worth using a tracker?

Interested in this thread and would have thought something like this would do well https://www.amazon.co.uk/MAGNETIC-REWIRE-SECURITY-104-PRO-TK104/dp/B00WAE5UMM/ref=pd_sbs_107_10?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YP0XH7PW1WQFC2MX13TT battery life seem to be reasonable?

New member advice on new ebike please

Having listened Anyone care to rank the following: 1-10? I appreciate that there is always an element of personal preference but I am getting close to a decision having probably over-thought much of this. Reading through the posts has been enlightening and I’ve eventually taken the over-riding...

New member advice on new ebike please

Hopefully, the right place for this? Have now read many, if not most of the posts in an effort to bring myself up to speed with narrowing down the list of bikes to research in more detail. I do like the look of the Kalkhoff Kalkhoff Sahel Compact i 8 but, not the many adverse comments on here...

    Hello fae Dundee!

Thanks for that, very useful. Not so sure about flying down mountains on the new bike but it would make for a good story I'm sure. I will give ElectricBikesScotland a try, they do seem to have good reviews. I'll let you know how I get on - or fall off of course!

    Hello fae Dundee!

Thanks for the advice - your thoughts are fairly close to mine and certainly the advice to check out the local dealers first. I'm sort of an age where bikes without cross-bars seem a little strange to me and that has swayed my thoughts towards a 20" foldable as being a sensible compromise? I...
