I can relate to that and indeed agree, no way would I advocate war, certainly not on the scale of those two world wars. However, the case for being prepared for one is another story. One for Tom here I'm sure. Should there be another world war that required mass conscription - who do you think...

Perhaps you did imagine it? You are indeed a silly old man. I was quoting directly from this report http://www.bikebiz.com/news/read/uk...o-sell-1-million-fewer-bikes-this-year/022040 which was in the previous post, which I was responding to. Had you read it you would have realised rather than...

Try this (Huffington Post) it seems to encapsulate just about every other commentary I've read. In one sense I guess you are right to say that had the pound joined the Euro would have been stronger but, that doesn't mean the outcome would have been any different. Should Britain Have Joined the...

I understand that, I've been in the print business for more than a few years and have watched prices tumble year on year. It used to be that we had hundreds of small print shops making a reasonable margin 70% thereabouts. Then along came automation, removed the traditional skills, that was...

We'll never know of course - which has this in the 'Fake News' category? Would seem unlikely though with most commentators suggesting that for whatever reason the fact that we didn't join the Euro was a good thing?

What on earth are you twittering on about now - who mentioned a book? I get the impression, on here, that you are just a twisted old man. Hopefully, not outside in the real world somebody might trip over you and do themselves harm.

Now we know for sure who else is a headline grabber. To suggest George G as honest would have many fae Dundee, rolling on the floor. I mean the ones fae Lochee where he claims to have grown up in a slum. Perhaps he should have done, but he certainly didn't and is alleged to have light fingers by...

Seems to have taken a long time for this to break on here - good news for a change? Brexit talks deadlock 'exaggerated', European Council president Donald Tusk says EU agrees to begin preparing for Brexit trade talks http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41684111

You might want to take a look at these figures? https://www.am-online.com/data/manufacturer-insight I grant you that October doesn't look too good. New car registrations fell 6.4% in August but the SMMT expects “historically high levels of demand” to continue as motorists flock to buy...

You might be right but at least I read the article and I responded to it, accurately. You, on the other hand chose to respond to me. As I say you might be right but that is totally irrelevant.

Is there a way to have an automatic 'Dislike' attached to every post by an individual? Might save some on here a few keystrokes.

Having read the article I came away with this: Secret Accountant fears that more bicycle businesses will fail this year, and he's not alone. What's causing this global slowdown in bike sales? If there's one single reason – and, in a complex world, this is unlikely – the reason would be fashion...

My take of this is that the family didn't speak much even if you did come to the same conclusion over the generations? Can only assume that it was you that broke the mould seeing as you know so little about the appeal and indeed the lifestyle.

How on earth can you delight in posting this? In the event it doesn't really matter, these guys are quite rightly, preparing themselves for whatever happens. Sure, he would have had a great time in Frankfurt and been well looked after.

Assume you meant PH but whilst I might not be quite as successful (dirty word to a few on here) this PL does invest with HL and will continue to do so.

The one thing that the Government did get unquestionably right was NOT joining the Euro. To have done so either then or in the immediate future would simply see us fail along with the rest, albeit that would be a form of contributing to the future shape and direction.

The clue was in the nom de plume but I'm encouraged that you saw the joke. Many of us are at our age, sorry let me rephrase that - some of us are.

I was meaning on here and whilst I think I hear what you say and it may well be that OG is the fat old git you imply. I wouldn't buy anything from him, not even an opinion.

Tends to be true and is a phrase often used in military circles where realism favours the use of words such as 'Should', rather than 'Will" and you will rarely see certainty expressed over a future arranged event. That's not to say there won't meticulous planning involved, for the potential...
