Thanks Flecc. At end of day they are all happy anyhow. A wedding postponed is hardly a problem. We should take our time. Agreed.

I think when people make such well reasoned arguments and go to trouble of explaining nobody should question your refusal to be vaccinated. (Well they shouldn't anyway I suppose) . Well written, coherent sensible post. It's your decision. Nobody else's.

Well, again sort of agree with you. To my mind folk on about government /2nd jab delay are over playing that aspect. Danidl summed it up well, and reading your posts (only a bit between lines) seems to suggest folk think the vaccine will work. If that's the case why point out, argue about who is...

If that's the case, we are arguing over nothing.???

So what was Johnson or Tories benefit from making a decision that could jeapordise everything for short term popularity? I, m afraid your argument just does not make sense. On the one hand you say they have nous (nounce??) but then insist they make a decision based on achieving very very short...

Good point... Suspect if it fails we, d have a change of Tory leadership first and over months a slide to Labour. If its seen mistakes with PPE, lockdown and finally vaccine were made it would be last straw, especially considering our death rate. This is their last chance of redemption over...

I sort of see that but don't think it will wash. If I can't take kids in boat this year, take them to football, go for a curry with wife, can't take camper van out etc etc I, ll see they have failed. Whereas, the opposite is easy to see. And even if you accept it, what was point of fast start...

Personally looking forward to taking new grandson out on our own for a walk. Going back and having tea with daughter and not having to worry about thinking I, d caught covid or given it them?? Not much to ask. Think vaccines will get us there.

The points and opinions are still appropriate. I had thought Naboro was last weekend , apologies, genuine mistake, it was a few of weeks ago but data is more positive than then.

Sage endorsed decision (by a fine margin, its explained in one of my earlier links) It was not political expediency. It was medical. (again all explained in detail in links) Political expediency would have been to go slow and certain without an election in next 3 months. As I keep saying a failed...

Totally agreed. Never said anything different. Sage advise but ministers ultimately make the decision. Your point reinforces my opinion. Those involved have the political expediency (your political intelligence) to know full well a failed roll out outweighs quite easily any early benefits. Crux...

https://www.gponline.com/uk-hits-1m-second-doses-covid-19-vaccine-campaign-shifts-next-phase/article/1709129 All looking positive tho. Talk in here of delivering 3 million 2nd jabs a week yet still maintaining 1st jab roll out. Must be a logistical nightmare.

https://www.itv.com/news/2020-12-30/peston-why-governments-decision-to-delay-second-vaccine-dose-is-so-important It wasn't a political decision Jesus, you are right. Even Peston, normally a devout critic of Johnson can see that...

https://www.politico.eu/article/coronavirus-vaccine-uk-belgium-deal-nato-eu-mission-brussels/ Interestingly the Brits working in Belgium can't have vaccine, under directions from Belgium (EU?) even tho they have access to them from UK. (the Brits must follow local vaccination schemes, ie wait...

Of course, the times is notoriously unreliable, whereas the Cork Examiner has world known renown. My mistake, well the times actually. But there you go. Don't shoot the messenger I, d contact Times if I were so convinced Danidl. I, m sure they, d take it seriously. Just finished watching news...

Good point. They just lined us up and stabbed us... Can't remember anybody getting choice to avoid it and I, m not sure parents knew when it was going to happen. I know quite a few who are not going to have it. Seem to be similar age groups and mentality... The conspiracy theorist backers...
