The flatpack EV: how Luvly is aiming to revolutionise the micro-EV market

That makes Haibike at £4k look cheap. £9k, no doubt plus on road charges etc..and 60 mile range... Doesn't appeal to me.. Hate IKEA anyway. Yep, cars must get lighter and more efficient but this looks like something student's had knocked up in their dinner hour.

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

Says the poster with the most to say about it. And BTW, the police have never mentioned pushing. They said "gesturing aggressively". As yet I have seen no evidence to suggest she pushed anything. All reports of her crime have been along these lines. The only place I have seen pushing mentioned...

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

So, perhaps had the woman gestured and swore from within a vehicle no custodial sentence would have been forth coming??

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is nothing like a man with the courage of his convictions.. His is to have none. And wallow in it.. But wait a few years. He, s like Terminator and McCarthur... He'll be back. Public have short memories.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Give Boris a bit more time and he'll sort it for you. You watch, if he thinks there's a vote to be had pushing EU he'll have no qualms in a hand brake turn.

    Legal Pitfalls

I, m 110kg, my chain snapping days are years behind me and were all on ordinary mtb. And, ofcourse, I, m not saying crank drives do not experience more chain wear than their hub counterpart but if you took the time to study the maths properly with your supposition crank drives snap chains you, d...

    Legal Pitfalls

Motors do not snap chains, riders do. The maximum torque a motor can exert (a legal one) pales into insignificance at side of a rider stood on a static pedal. I haven't a clue why you persist on this tack of rubbishing crank drives and insisting you need a throttle on a pushbike. I, m 67,a...

    Legal Pitfalls

I removed throttle from grandsons bike (Tongshen 250 w crank drive) primarily on safety grounds. I don't think anyone would likely face prosecution for having one, especially if it was the only issue... On a couple of occasions he fell off bike and throttle was pushed on.. There isn't loads of...

    Legal Pitfalls

For quite a while now any equipment used on any boats must meet minimum standards, and be certified as such. (with clear marking on equipment and relevant paper work.) This is both the case for new boats (definetely barges) and for any boat to pass mandatory boat safety inspections. (regs...

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

Totally agreed Flecc, but sending a partially sighted and cognitively challenged individual with learning difficulties to prison for gesturing and swearing at a cyclist who wasn't in full control of her bike and probably shouldn't have been on pavenent anyway hardly smacks of sense, humanity or...

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

So, someone who kills a person on a Zebra crossing gets a 3 year ban. And someone who gestures towards a cyclist who then falls into road gets imprisoned. At best inconsistent. It will be changed under appeal...

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

Yep, I agree to a point. She did contribute but not cause. I feel there is a strong element of both miss carriage of justice and a judgement to put others off similar behaviour. Last year whilst riding on a dual use pavement a chap stopped me and requested I ride on road. I didn't swerve to miss...

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

The pedestrian should not have done that but no way on earth is she responsible for riders death. The car striking her must take some blame and to be fair the lady on the bike with abilities demonstrated should not be riding either on pavement or on the road. I suspect this verdict will be...

Changing from hub motor to mid drive

I wasn't taking the Michael. Just never seen them before. If they work it's a great idea. Would save time on any bike.. I hate removing back wheel on any derailer type bike..especially in horrible weather.
