    Brexit, for once some facts.

Well it is a great shame that these people are leaving, having, and still providing a huge contribution to the U.K. The blame for this can be laid precisely at the door of idiots such as Jonathan Agnew and other similar racist Nazis who deliberately told lies by claiming that Brexit was all...

Sounds like you identified where you went wrong and salvaged the positive elements of the experience. Not all bad.

I think it’s the operating cost too. Something like a B747 or A380 typically costs £12K to handle at a major airport. A wide bodied twin jet costs about £2K, so the overheads are much less per passenger. Plus with 4 x engines the service cost is doubled on those items. The easing of rules...

Yes, you did in the 1980s.

There is no shame in having the balls to give it a go. Not silly at all.

Airbus to stop making the A380. I’m trying to think how I can blame Brexit, but can only come up with wrong aircraft at the wrong time. Over to you OG.

That chart doesn’t go back far enough. The time span has been carefully selected to show a worst case period. Even it out over the period when interest rates where routinely over 10% and you will get a different story.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That ok, don’t worry. All of your stuff will still make it to our shores just as it does now. There is a tactic used by the incompetent which relies on creating a problem which does not exist, and then loudly announcing a solution to the nonexistent problem. Everyone then thinks you are great...

I’m reading in today’s news that the Islamic State supporting woman who Of course they can. The ratio of salary to house purchase price is exactly the same now as it was then. The opportunity is the same. The only change is young people’s unwillingness to save and that’s a problem they need to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I completely reject the “young people can’t afford houses” rubbish. A mortgage on a starter home today, in any particular area, equates to roughly the same percentage of take home pay as it did decades ago. The mortgage on my first house just about wiped out all of my take home pay and we relied...

I’d stay off the subject of a proud nation if I were you. Your Mr Leo isn’t exactly a beacon of dignity. The way the EU manipulates him and have taught him to do tricks for money is an embarrassment. Anyway, the EU will extend A50 if we ask. They have made it clear that is an option.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I suppose there is nothing to stop us withdrawing A50 and then submitting another A50 notice the following day. That would give us a 2 year extension. Not a very neat way to extend, but it would do the trick.

I wouldn’t have moderated it, but I don’t run a successful forum, they do. So, whatever decision they take, it’s ok with me.

Rightly moderated? BS. Lighten up. :)

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don’t think that would have worked. There are several on here who possess the playground mentality of going to the moderator in the same way that a child would go running to tell teacher when the big boys play rough. I’ve had a yellow card from a moderator, and to be fair it probably...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You must remember that a lot of people on here don’t represent the majority of rational thinking people. The thread is a perverse snap-shot of the public at large, a bit like a Victorian freak show brought into the digital age. Don’t let it get to you, enjoy the spectacle.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is no doubt that the options on offer should be ranked as follows, with number 1 being the most desirable and 3 the least. 1) Remain in the EU on our current terms. 2) Leave with no deal. 3) Theresa May’s deal. I don’t know why they are even entertaining the idea that she will...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I see that May has yet again delayed a vote on her deal. Can anyone actually say what has changed since the first cancellation on 10/12/2018? The EUs stance is exactly the same, she has achieved absolutely nothing in the past two months and will achieve nothing new in the coming days. Her ploy...
