2016 Giant Road e+1 display in KPH not MPH

Couldn't agree more. Too many companies adopt the Ostrich approach hoping a problem will go away.

    Kalkhoff Integrale

I'd go for the Giant Road E over the Kalkhoff any day. A lovely looking bike with a rock solid Yamaha motor. Also 2017 promises to be an interesting model year with many new bikes coming to market with a more integrated design. As for the Impulse motor....I'd run a mile from it.

I personally wouldn't get upset over kph only. I don't have a speedo on my bike and I'm not that bothered by it.

    Mid drive

I suppose one advantage of a mid motor is the ability to use hub gears. Unless a front hub is used. My wife's Smart emotion is front hub and I prefer the Wisper rear hub. Look forward to seeing your new design. In fact 2017 models are looking far more subtle in their design and I see Brose...

    Mid drive

Don't the two give different riding experiences? But then I haven't tried your torque model I have a 2/3 year old SE which I believe us cadence only. Are you working on more discreet battery placements aka Oxygen's offerings? I do like my Wisper but feel the current range look a wee bit dated...

    Interesting news re Kalkhoff........

If I ran 50 cycles I'd have a new business model in place along with a rebranding exercise. Can't see what 50 cycles actually means!!

Surprising how quick these Brexit price rises have happened

There's a lot if cross subsidy in the EU from car manufacturers. Each country has a differing tax regime for cars so the manufacturers adjust base prices in the countries to try to even this out. Hence why once a Honda Crv built up the road from me in Swindon was shipped out to NL. Then shipped...

Surprising how quick these Brexit price rises have happened

It's true that some will take advantage of currencies to hike prices. When we had our villa in Spain a coffee cost 150 pesatas. Upon adopting the euro at 166 pts to the euro the same shop charged 1€ for the cup of coffee. A good 10% hike ..

Surprising how quick these Brexit price rises have happened

You haven't mentioned staffing costs, etc. If that's coming out of the £100 profit you'll need to import quite a few containers. Also your costs of going to China etc. Makes e bike sales seem like a hobby / cottage industry. I get the feeling Yamdude is just winding you up and isn't overly...
