    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

Sorry: this was not the case. The cable had been secured by the clamp so that adjustment or re-positioning was not possible. I am still surprised that PDI at the retailer's premises did not discover this.

    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

Thanks for this, Trex. The initial fault was that the cable had been clamped so tightly that the adjusters were useless. The wheel just dragged along the ground without rotating. Short sight, arthritic fingers and lack of the correct tool to slacken the clamp managed to raise my blood-pressure a...

    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

Sadly, it wasn't sorted in seconds. I had to cart the thing round a variety of cycle shops until I chanced on the one that finally repaired the fault. I had contacted the supplier immediately I'd discovered the fault and I'm still waiting for their comment on the bike's reluctance to make way...

    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

Agree, it is quite striking. My opinion of it is affected by the fact that the rear wheel was on strike!

    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

Agree, a small matter. I guess that most retailers would notice if a wheel on a bike they were selling failed to rotate? The rear brake was a sort I'm not familiar with: a three-speed hub with built-in disc brake. This required the use of a thin-wall socket to adjust. The dealer I finally took...

    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

If I had been able to ride the Gallego, to road test it before purchase, I would have returned it unridden! As I mentioned in my report the rear wheel would not rotate. The rear brake was jammed firmly on with no way I could adjust it simply. Having paid good money for the bike I sought out a...

    misleading the public again ????

This casual, but fiendishly calculated use of incorrect naming is present in other areas too. For example, calling a teaching assistant a teacher in order to create the illusion that a school is adequately staffed. Another example is calling an economic migrant or a foreign national seeking free...

    Leaving the EU

You may well be right about the facts. My problem is sorting the chaff from the rest of the chaff. Perhaps we should select the next PM by lottery? My main worry is immigration? My family were immigrants and I don't think we've done much damage to our adopted country. My worry is that it may be...

"I very much value British culture and identity - but to me its about liberal values, openness, tolerance and freedom, what's at the heart of Shakespeare or Donne etc. there's very few people I can imagine having less in common with than Nigel Farage and culturally living in the kind of Donald...

    Hello

Yes, I agree that a full-size eBike is a better bet - unless you have the funds to spend on a Brompton and have it kitted out with a motor! What ever bike you buy select it by having a ride and make sure that you can have it serviced locally. Best wishes & welcome! Tom

    Woosh Gallego

The bike arrived, safely and very well packaged, shortly after ordering. There were ample instructions, even detailing how to take it out of the box. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the rear wheel was locked solid, just would not rotate, and I failed to receive advice from the supplier...
