    Oxydrive kits

many thanks, if I put it on the btwin i will give making a reed switch a go, at least it should be educational - as a final aside - if any of you had a very limited budget ( I mean as cheap as possible), and wanted to buy a used 29er - the kind of thing that had commuting geometry (sort off sit...

    2017 KTM prototype....

great video, very sweet "motor", I also wondered how looking (and sounding) completely daft co-exist so unlikely with staying on track (not bounding off leaving owner under low branch with head trauma)

thanks - do you mean something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10pcs-Reed-Switch-MagSwitch-2-14mm-Normally-Open-Magnetic-Induction-Switch-/301271869065?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item462533e689#ht_5521wt_1002 How does one fit it? i imagine i'd cut the wires from the new...

    Oxydrive kits

I'm a complete noob with bicycles, but swapping a casette is absolute simplicity - i find its easier to just buy a new one (for less than a tenner) than to engage in the major muscle work of trying to unscrew an old one

    Oxydrive kits

thanks for the real world feedback - on a separate note - how insane would it be to fit a kit like this without the brake cut outs? the b'twin has integrated shifters/brake levers (one yanks it inwards and outwards to shift gears, i think its shimano 2300 STI's), alternatively does anyone know...

Building a bike for heavy hill climbing on country roads.

have a look at http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&sqi=2&ved=0CDsQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gopedelec.eu%2Fcms%2Fdmdocuments%2FlegalAspectsOfPedelecs.pdf&ei=sc2lVOHCEaev7AaOjIHYDg&usg=AFQjCNHBFmc9ZKMfCzTaohGrPggUlQ0GVg couldn't figure out if I felt more like self...

Building a bike for heavy hill climbing on country roads.

"old fashioned way" sounds intriguing, it should, at the very least, involve a few prostitutes and a good whipping..

    Oxydrive kits

many thanks for useful advice, will give feedback about real world performance once I have it (270rpm would be good for speed so tricky trade-off I think)

    Oxydrive kits

dear all, ive taken the plunge and ordered the £479 CST HT kit - for me its a significant sum, but it seems very hard (impossible) to beat at the price - do any of you have one already? I hope to put it (as a 700c) in a B'twin Triban (cheap decathlon aluminium racer) - I have four questions...

Building a bike for heavy hill climbing on country roads.

strictly for what its worth - I genuinely know nothing about pedelecs, but I have a friend who has been gratuitously hammering the crap out of a Raleigh twenty he built with a madly unrestricted BPM (last time I checked he managed to coax more than 2kw out of it, and that's mainly what he gives...

    Xiongda 48V 2-speed motor kit

where can one purchase the kit (it's not on BMS battery and i find alibaba somehow worrying)?

    Road bike commuter bike

i bit the bullet and bough asgard's largest metal lockup for a few 29ers - it's great, not cheap (£475), somehow it felt less painful than having another bike stolen by a local primate

    Kit options for Fat Bike

i'd be grateful if you do, thanks to tezdread's review (sounds a lot better than i imagined, i can see fat tyres might make for easy offroad relaxed cruising) i cant help but being tempted (specially if a BBS kit slotted straight in), the last hurdle, in my case, is that the locals in my neck of...

    Xiongda 48V 2-speed motor kit

the thing i like most is that its so small - i wonder if it would slot into (stretched) brompton drop-outs with a brompton dérailleur?

    Kit options for Fat Bike

it looks stunning and 299 is very cheap, but after i read this https://www.electricbike.com/pedego-trail-tracker/ i'm not so sure it delivers...clearly fat bike tires are NOT schwalbe big apples (apparently the drag can fry a 600w hub motor offroad)

    Bike conversion kit on budget

here it is http://www.wisil.recumbents.com/wisil/shumaker/default.htm - not budget really (unless, despite the $150 limit you just happen to have several lathes and a specialised workshop..), also worryingly inspiring (this guy could make lesser mortals try to do very advanced stuff)

    Bike conversion kit on budget

have a look at hobbyking - for that money one could get an RC motor and some Lipo's - i read somewhere (think endless sphere) that someone did a remarkable solex type tyre driven contraption with a high RPM RC motor..

    2 Wheel drive ?

the spell checker thinks one needs an endocrine disorder for this kind of stuff (lipoid), I meant lipo..

    2 Wheel drive ?

to me it doesn't sound silly at all, two BPM's (perhaps 500 and 350 W) with some serious lipoid would, I think, create the bicycle equivalent of a unimog
