Once you have removed the Gay ones from the equation that narrows it down a bit :) On the holiday travel thing .. I think they call it 'Disinclination to travel' and is therefore non-insurable, bit of a choker :(

I'm guessing the insurance just standard should you need to cancel kind of cover rather than in case the UK suffers a " Tunguska Event " or such like.

I have a friend who owns a hotel over the IOW, I took a look at his web site a couple of months back and it said more or less business as usual. However he did advise taking out insurance on the booking although he didn't say exactly why you should but I suppose the answer's obvious but he...

Interesting debate as always on here. I have a National Cycle Route near me which I bike along at a steady pace admiring the wildlife as I go. Sooner or later the inevitable will happen and a Lycra lout will pass me cursing as he shoots up the path because I didn't get out of his way quick...

I took a short walk out yesterday to feed the foxes in a den I discovered a while ago, they're getting to know me now. I was surprised to see everybody whether on a bus, driving or just walking down the street were wearing a masks which made me feel odd because I wasn't. I really did not see a...

    Controller Light Output - Uses?

I have one of those twin cree set-ups, if I point the lights up to the sky on a cloudy night it lights up the clouds .. gets red hot too the whole light is one big alloy heat sink. Daft really but the only thing that matches it are vehicle LED headlights, now I can dazzle em back !

My mate Sean used to ride his bike like that when he was a young lad. One day he hit something and came to a dead stop, he did a 'header' over the bars and one side caught him in the back and ripped out a kidney  He never rode a bike again after that, put him off for good.

It's not about the wages they get, in the overall scheme of things that doesn't really matter as we all know already they don't earn a fraction of the salary pop stars or footballers get. It's the perks that go with the job and how those privileges are abused that concerns me. I used to know one...

I'm no expert on the US Electoral system but as I understand it and in simple terms, once a Candidate has enough votes they are elected as President. The final outcome when all votes are counted is irrelevant as the President has by then been decided which is what happened to Clinton...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There's been investigations galore over the months and years in the US concerning voter fraud and the general consensus is it's bunkum. What you have to consider is the size of the population, how many vote and then how many cases of fraud there are, the numbers are there alright but they are...

I've just fitted a 56t chain ring on my bike as I was spinning out, funnily enough I kept the same chain length. I expected problems and anticipated I'd need a new one but no it all worked flawlessly. Maybe it was too long in the first place and I hadn't picked up on it.

I don't get that, all reports I've seen & read say there's no real evidence of any postal vote irregularities. You would think it would be open to cheating but apparently it's not, I think it's Trump trying to skew it his way again. Just let the people decide like they did with Hillary Clinton...

I had an aunt who at one time worked in a pickle factory. They had no running water nearby or in the toilets, so every time someone used the loo they dipped their hands in the vinegar afterwards to clean up o_O

As I've said we have been eating GM for over 10 years, and yes that does include wheat ! When tests on GM crops were first carried out research stations made no attempt to isolate their produce from nearby non GM fields, the result was contamination from the GM wheat had made it's way into other...
