User Titles / Reputation / Post Ratings

After the initial comments in the thread http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/charging-post/294-where-queen-ant.html User titles it seems forum members would like to see some alternatives to the rather boring Junior Member, Senior Member user titles we currently have by default. User Titles are...

    A Wet day in Wales

Presteigne report tomorrow Hi all, I will upload a report on Presteigne tomorrow morning, a little later than I had hoped. After my digital camera getting a thorough soaking and throwing up 'card error' on the last photographs of the day, I've managed to recover all the preceding photographs...

    Pedals, Cleats and straps

I use the Shimano SPD pedals which have the clip on one side and a 'normal' footing on the other. I have the clip set very loose so I don't end up flat on my side struggling to get my foot out! I found using SPD pedals it really helps on the upward stroke as you can pull your foot up. This...

    wet weather clothing

I have a Foska Bones jacket ( Foska.com Bones Hi-Vis Training Jacket Bones Hi-Vis Training Jacket ) which is fantastic for visibility at night. It is such a striking design that I have had loads of people stop me and comment on it. Plus it gets a smile from everyone which is great as I find car...

    wet weather clothing

A couple of years back I picked up some Pearl Izumi eVent waterproof clothing. Even in torrential rain, I remained dry as a bone when I got to work/home. There was only a very very slight dampness to the inside of the jacket/trousers from perspiration. Plus the jacket has a hood that fits over a...

    Budget Bikes

Yes that is certainly the case, i'm not sure anything can be done either. I have a contact at a firm that specialises in tax law so I will ask them if it is possible to run the scheme any other way. It's probably a no, but worth asking !

What we need is an umbrella company (similar to that used with IT contractors) that can provide the scheme to people whose main employer is refusing to play ball. I'll have a look into this.

Ezee - spoilt for choice (Liv/Sprint/Quando)

Just be careful not to look even more foolish forgetting to unclip your pedals when you come to a stop! We all do it once ;)

Ezee - spoilt for choice (Liv/Sprint/Quando)

I use the Shimano SPD pedals with my bike that have the clip on one side and flat on the other for when you don't have the correct shoes on. I use Diadora Chili Zero MTB shoes and they really help squeeze an extra mph or so with little additional effort.

    Hardly Breaking news

I passed a chap on a recumbent on the A14 last Friday evening. He really wasn't very visible until the last 100 yds or so, a blink of an eye. Seeing how many lorries often lose concentration and swerve into the hard shoulder, it's not something I have a burning desire to experience! Still my...

    a bike stolen every 71seconds

Hi Charlie, there is a product called Cycleguard (link in the advertisers box on the right) and they cover electric bikes. Cover is approx 10% of the bike's value so you will need to decide if you feel it offers good value or not. cheers Russ
