    New (ish) Bosch display

OK so I've done over 800 trouble free miles on my cube reaction, I've sussed the range'O'meter and can expect the distance shown in Eco mode works out equal to my overall distance covered, I tend to save the power for strong headwinds and big hills using various power settings. Anywho back to...

    Helmet Lights

Yup, that's the stuff Steve On the stuff I used, the driver was powered by 2 AA battery's so not much bigger than a PP9 all in. If I was to do another hat, I'd use a single cell lipo the size of a phone battery or smaller, maybe something like this...

    Helmet Lights

While I chose not to wear a helmet and don't ride in the dark anywho, I do comend your initiative. Have you thought about EL wire (Electroluminescent, for those that didn't know) A few years back I made a fancy hat for a firework party, I had people asking me where they could get one from...

    seat height.

Denwyn Your perfect fine the way you ride and everyone else is wrong. Is what you want to hear. Why are you asking for advice if your going to ignore any answers you don't like. I could tell you of my arthritis and how riding with the correct saddle hight helps me peddle harder and for longer...

    Saddle sore already!

At the start of last year I owned several saddles from the stock sports type to a big fat sprung specialized armchair. The sports thing felt like riding a brick and I went numb after only a few miles. The armchair was oh so comfortable to start with but as my trips got longer my bits got sorer...

    sat nav for cyclists

I also have one of those, the only trouble is all the new housing that's going up doesn't show on my old OS. Some of my regular dirt trails now seam to be tarmac, the trees are now made of bricks and some of the wildlife is armed, a regular concrete jungle

    Which bike ahhh? :)

My 10 pence worth ! I brought a Cube reaction 29er ( latest Bosch system ) earlier this year and at the time of purchase the dealer mentioned derestricting, saying "of cause you can make it go faster with a dongle but you'll loose the warranty" So if someone tells you yes you'll keep the...

FLAB ! Am I missing somthing

A totally uninspired company name, probably thought up late at night after to many shandys and boisterously supported by fellow shandy drinkers

FLAB ! Am I missing somthing

OK like lots of people I'm not built like a racing snake. Finding suitable cycling clothing is a pain, most jacket sleeves 3" to long for me and that's just for starters. So seeing on Dragons Den, someone wanted support for there fuller figure cycle clothing range, this woke me from my slumber...

    Handlebars

My cube bars have a 31.8mm clamp area and a grip dia of 7/8" or 22mm, this appears to be MTB standard for this year at least  The next generation of down hill bars are coming out with a massive 35mm clamp dia What ever next :p

E bikes and the Law update

I'm not going to the trouble ok checking history now, as this litflicker bloke has only posted 21 times in over 2 years maybe he's only out to wind people up. He had me going for a while, I should look at people's history before biting in the future.;)

E bikes and the Law update

There's a lot of stuff there and I think I've got the basics, but just for clarification where dose the present range of European bikes stand (including my cube) are they all to become illegal ?

    Puncture resistant tyres query

On my new bike I run both Big Apples & Smart Sam Plus's. Apples have done 700 trouble free miles on road & light trails, the Sam's have only done 90ish miles on wooded trails and caught two punctures. I'm now looking to fit tougher tubes in the Sam's. I think it's more about where you ride...

Does anyone do off road night riding?

Back in the day, In a previous life ;) Me & a mate would tear round the local woodland on our green lane motorbikes (totally illegality trespassing). We loved it but even riding slowly hazards were hard to spot & often caught us out, at least we could help each other should it be required...

    Anyone been out and about?

Unfortunately not me, I've had my cube for just over 3 months now and covered nearly 800 miles and enjoyed every one of them. It's been two weeks today since my last ride and I'm getting serious withdrawal symptoms, a trapped nerve in my back has slowed me down to little more than a shuffle and...

An offer too good to refuse?

As Rob said, if it's the model you want, go for it ! I strugled to justify spending big money on my Cube reaction, now it don't even think about the cost, I'm to buissy enjoying riding it:)

    Cycle Paths

That's the price you pay for walking on a shared usage cycle/footpath, if you don't like it just walk on pedestrians only footpaths :p And dire straits,
