    CANNONDALE, CUBE or KTM ?

Thanks for your comments Col You pulled me up on wheel size, I said 29ers had 700c rims are you saying they don't ? As I understand it, we have the Americans to thank for the term 29er as they quote there bikes not by wheel size but prefer to use the overall tyre diameter. I'm sure if I'm wrong...

    Yet another battery question

Well KudosDave The Agattu has the potential for me to put it back to standard with no dents or scratches ( not to many any how) so a shame to scrap it. Anywho I'm £500 short on the price of the Cube so I'm hoping to get something back on the Agattu, probably on the bay? I did 22 miles today (...

    Yet another battery question

OK so were all sick of battery questions but I'm looking for a technology question/answer. This question is probably best answered by trade members of folks who have had many e-bikes. Given that tech has moved on in leaps and bounds since I brought my Agattu in 2008 with its 26v 10a battery...

    Kalkhoff Agattu

3 months later ~~~~~~ I now know this bike is to big for me (5'8") to use off road. I've taken a likening to the Cube reaction Hybrid pro 29 and a quick go around a carpark showed me what I'm missing in the Agattu. I can't afford the Cube straight out, or may be just if I could get £500 for the...

    Kalkhoff Agattu For Sale

Well Pedro, I was in the same situation as you back in October. Same bike/condition and year, I went down to £650 and still no takers, i would have taken £500 if I'd been offered it, but had no offers at all. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/kalkhoff-agattu.15873/ I've since fitted...

    CANNONDALE, CUBE or KTM ?

A 29er is 700c wheels with 2" plus tyres fitted and my Agattu has some 2.1 smart Sams fitted making it a 29er, changing from thiner road tyres didn't worsen the handling so it must be the largeness of the bike and it's geometry that's the problem. I also ride a nice unpowered Trek hybrid and...

    CANNONDALE, CUBE or KTM ?

I've been following this thread with some interest as I'm considering either the KTM action 29 or Cube reaction 29 to replace my present bike. It has turned into a bit of a general battery bashing session rather than talk on the merits of the bikes in question. Anywho, if we accept the fact that...

    Balance wire turmoil!

The individual plugs pop out quite easily. looking at your connector block in the picture, from the opposite side you'll see an opening on to each plug, this lets you press down onto the metal tab that holds the plug into the block, allowing you to pull the plug from the main block. I've...

    Wiggle Rough Ride

Nice one Eddie, you did well saving your battery over that distance. Regarding e-bike comments, I don't think it's just the stealth thing but more likely the fact that your bike looks "fit for pupose" built to do just what you were doing. Most folks out there associate the term "electric bikes"...

    7s booster

Now all that left is a ride out:cool: Last week I found an autoclave box at work that suited the battery's just fine, so I got busy with my tools and I'm ready for a distance test. The plan will be to ride out on my new battery's, when the lipo alarm sounds (sits in my frame bag for now) I will...

For sale Panasonic 26V / 10Ah battery inclusive charger

To the right person yes it's worth what your asking but you need to find that man ! Two weeks ago it could have been me but only recently I brought 10 amps worth of hobbyking lipo's and I don't need two chargers. I've just fitted the new lipo's to my frame to use along side my old battery to...

For sale Panasonic 26V / 10Ah battery inclusive charger

I know it looks like a bargain but most folks will be concerned about its age. My 2008 battery, same model as yours, also with low mileage (700) is now showing 4 of the 5 lights on a battery test & that's about 80% of a new one. I don't know how the capacity will drop during the rest of its life...

    7s booster

Thanks for your concern Alan a fuse is a good idea. Strange thing is, in the many years I've been using lipo's in RC I haven't yet had a mishap, I've had one or two puff up if I asked to much from them but never a fire or explosion. There's always a first time ;)

    7s booster

Well my bits arrived during the week and I've done a bit today. For reasons beyond me, 7S lipos are fitted with one 3S & one 4S balance leads ? All ancillary items (charger, lipo alarm etc) have a single 7S plug. The first thing to do is remove each pin & fit them to a 7S plug (one at a time)...
