    Well I have tried 2 new batteries for the test meter. tested charger unplugged from bike battery it said 42.4v Ive now plugged charger into battery took a reading of it charging it says now 42.2v maybe i need a new charger EDIT: now i wriggled the jack plug which go into the battery now green...

    You mean the jack pin which goes into the battery hole. as I would have to unplug it from battery to measure it I just unplugged the pin from battery put + into hole, and touched - on outside it said 42.5 volts

    I have a 36 volt battery on my bike, and to be fully charged I was told it has to be 42 volts. but its now at 42.3 volts and still no green light, would this have to be more charged then than 42 volts, I have tried shaking the wires to plug and also to battery but nothing yet like a green...

    Bingo at last, Ive managed to remove those nuts in green, was really tight. so at least now when i fit new pads it will be much easier

    Because I was disposing of it, as I wasnt paying council £15 to take it away. so I cut up the springs, put them into several bin bags, then placed in recycle bins. saves them collecting it, plus saved me £15

    No I don’t have any brake cleaner, but can get some. I think I’m going to have to use some brut force to undo those 2 nuts in image above in green to get pads in. As they seem to be well tight probably will have to hit end of Allen key with a hammer. They feel like they welded in lol

    Hi many thanks for this, I cant get the pads in with the spring but when trying without the spring it’s so much easier I can’t get them down far enough. With spring on I mean I’m only trying with the old pads until new ones arrive, so I will remove those 2 in green as they won’t be there...

    Correction I have only bought the pads, and wire cables. plus caliper adjusters. its not the outer at all. as dont need those.

    Yes saneagle you was right they need sharpening, last time i used them was to cut mattress springs. so yes they look very blunt, but i have an angle grinder and a vice plus you can undo the blades so handy to sharpen up Now sharpened the blades so will test later

    I have got new brake cables for my bike, still waiting for the pads to arrive, but the cables are way too long, I have tried on the old cables to see if i can cut some off, Used pliers, and also strong snippers, but nothing cuts them, can anyone reccomend best way, I do have cable end caps

    But mine have springs on the thread these in link dont. also I think those are at the brake levers on handle bar not at the caliper at wheels

    Well I must be behind on bike brakes lol. Wow Hydraulic brakes been around for 20 years never knew that. Anyway just a question regarding bolids brakes would anyone know if you can get this black plastic screw as seems I have lost it somewhere
