    Battery concern

Great advert for Wisper customer care, top man. Looks like if you buy one of their bikes, you'll never have to worry about future support and after care

Suntour sp12-Ncx question for anyone with a Carrera Croasfire e...

Yep. I don't get why so many ebikes are fitted with suspension seatposts or why some owners feel they need them (on an ebike) If you didn't need/want one on a regular bike, I don't see how ebikes are any different. Why do they fit them to so many ebikes, is it because they think ebike riders...

Suntour sp12-Ncx question for anyone with a Carrera Croasfire e...

If the current one is 400 and if you need it that big to allow the minimum amount left in the seta tube then get the 400. If you do not have the post that high and there is, say 150 mm left in the seat tube, then go for the 350mm one. That way you will save weight If you're not sure and arn't...

Suntour sp12-Ncx question for anyone with a Carrera Croasfire e...

depends on how tall you are and how much is left in the seat tube when extended to the right height. Why not measure the existing one, see how much minimum is required and decide then

    Carrera Crossfire ebike Battery Charger

Massive rip off for a spare charger. This was for sale at £35 for the first 3-4 months when it went on sale last year, and then one day about 5 months ago it shot straight up to £100 and been listed at that price ever since

Can the Gtech go up hills?

Blimey, quick work fella. Crossfire-e ? If so good choice, love mine. If your reasonably fit (which I guess you are if you have previously cycled 40 miles round trip to work on a normal bike), you should be able to get to work and back on a single charge on eco setting with the occasional...

Carrera Croosfire, Cyclotricity Stealth or Woosh Karoo?

Did Halfords replace the spokes for you under warranty ? If so there is a 2 year componet warranty on the bike, so you've got another year I've had 3 break on my Crossfire-e, and I replaced them myself, simple job, not had any let go in the last 4-5 months so hopefully settled down now

    Carerra Vulcan

I've got the crossfire, had it for just under a year, use it commute every day, very very pleased with it. The Vulcan was not out when I bought the crossfire, now having ridden a colleague's, and enjoying, I'd be now facing the same dilemma as you are. If you are ever likely to want to go off...

    Carerra Vulcan

I don't think there is any difference in range, I have ridden both, they both use the same motor/battery/electronics. Apart from a bit more rolling resistence on the Vulcan (tyres), might equate to a couple of miles less. I think it's just a typo or misinformation

    Pedal recommendations

The DMR V6's are very good too, a bit lighter than the V8's, and a bit cheaper, no removable pins though, and non replaceable bearings, but I have run them for over a year in all weathers, grit, mud etc and still great http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/dmr-v6-flat-pedal/rp-prod132636

    Halfords E-Bikes

Nice report Jerry, sounds like you did the right thing doing the test rides, a lesson to all undecided on off the shelf or conversion. Good luck with the conversion, I see you are running a B17, currently trying to break one in myself, or is it breaking me in lol

    Halfords E-Bikes

Hi Jerry, The csssette and locking ring is standard shimano, I've removed it easily with the standard cassette removal tool. From memory I think it's a hg50 cassette or similar Good luck with whatever option you go with Cheers Paul

    Halfords E-Bikes

Happy Crossfire-e owner here, 2800 miles in and just under 1 year old, daily commute. Just got the ladies version for her indoors. Have also ridden the Vulcan-e, nice bike too, if it's more off road riding required then I'd go for that Don't get put off by the occasional cut out, no big deal...

Battery life v Weight and Terrain

I've got a Crossfire-e and I'm 100kg. I can ride a flattish circular route with 1 big hill and a few smaller ones, which is 45 miles in length, and I return with about 20% battery remaining. At all times I am in the lowest setting (eco/camel). Sometimes I am peddling on the flat over the...

    Tortec Transalp Disc Pannier Rack

Agree with OP, I have 2 of these, both on disc equipped bikes. As mentioned a bit wider but bullet proof. Just returned from a 400 mile tour with a 10 day backpack on the rack on dirt tracks/cycle paths, no issues with the rack
