Seriously, be careful not to put too much weight on it, a 4 kilo battery was too much for mine even with an extra long seat post.

I don't get the point of these, they don't fit rear suspension because of the support bars and if you have a hard tail I think it would be better to fit a conventional rack with a lower centre of gravity. Maybe they are easily detachable.

Thanks, I thought I might be missing something, I've used P clips in the past for seat tubes without mounts and my current bike has a home made clamp round the seat tube. It has mounts but I like the rack as low as possible, the bike's top heavy enough with me on it so every little helps

Thule make a nice rack for rear suspension which only attaches to the seat stays, it may not fit every bike though and a little expensive.

I use the 'pack n ride' on my full sus cube 26" and my 700c boardman, no probs with fitting and should fit nearly any bike type.

I have looked at this but there don't seem to be any side rails to fix panniers to. My panniers have a quick release that locks into the top rail and have a bracket that slots in at the bottom to stop them flapping about.

Agree not cheap, I paid 93.48 for the rack and side frames.
End of the day money is to spend otherwise some one else will only spend the inheritance. Now I've got the Thule the price doesn't bother me as it's done, dusted and paid for..
