    Review Pinnacle Mercury 2021

It does indeed - just don’t expect much in the way of customer support. A few things surprised me (considering I didn’t go out to buy it!). It has Shimano hydraulic brakes that are fabulous and on Friday I found out that the Kenda Kwick Seven.5 tyres have an anti puncture layer. I wish I’d...

    Review Pinnacle Mercury 2021

Just thought I’d post a couple of pics I took today on the TPT. The battery range was around 37 miles when it abruptly gave up the ghost a couple of hundred yards from home.

    Folding bike advice

I can recommend MiRider which is within your weight range. I was 13.5 st when I first got mine and although I’ve lost a stone, it still beats my full size up the local hill roads. A few are coming up for sale on the usual auction sites and mine is listed on this site. Also comes with a second...

Thanks for the link by the way. I haven’t seen that site before so that‘s this evenings entertainment.

    Review Pinnacle Mercury 2021

That‘s where a user guide would be helpful. From observation the charger LED is red while charging and then switches to green after a few hours, which I take to be when the battery is fully charged. The battery has its own charge indicator which flashes green when the battery is charging and...

    Review MiRider One

Having had the misfortune to deal with Evans customer service has made me realise how good the guys at MiRider are. Emails are answered promptly and they seem to genuinely care about their product and customers. Even the daftest questions from a newbie like me have been answered in a helpful way.

    Review Pinnacle Mercury 2021

https://www.evanscycles.com/brand/pinnacle/mercury-2021-electric-hybrid-bike-917706#colcode=91770602 I bought the Mercury from Evans cycles 10 days ago and have just completed a 22 mile round trip with a mate. First impressions of the bike are good. The Bafang G020 motor pulls strongly...

    For Sale MiRider One 2020

Would consider £900 to free up garage space.

    For Sale MiRider One 2020

With a heavy heart I’m selling my MiRider One folding ebike as I’ve managed to find space for a full size ebike. It was purchased in October 2020 and has covered 170 fun filled miles from new. It comes complete with the charger, two keys, a MiRider luggage rack and a spare inner tube. There’s...

    Best display for Bafang motors?

I’m going to embarrass Myself and ask how I can check ? It’s a 2021 bike if that helps.

Stolen Raleigh Motus Tour Electric Bike from outside Sainsbury’s in Stapleford, Nottingham on Saturday 27th February 2021 at 2.30 pm

Japan was was still like that when we visited in 2019. On a separate note, does anyone want to buy a Tokyo 2020 Olympic key ring ? It seemed a good idea at the time !

    Falcon Flo Replacement Battery

I’ve just seen that bike in the metal and it looks pretty neat. I found Falcon to be very helpful when I contacted them directly so I suspect you’re looking at carrying a second battery. Luckily, that form factor isn’t too onerous to carry in a backpack as it’s similar to the MiRider pack.

    Best display for Bafang motors?

Are these just plug and play ? I’ve just bought a bike that uses a Bafang G020 motor but it only has LED dots for PAS and battery level. If I could just unplug that and plug another type of display/controller in its place I’d be one happy bunny.

    To fit hatchback

A MiRider fits very easily in a hatch and I think they show 2 side by side on their website. Mine will be available soon as I’ve managed to make space for a full-size hybrid.

    Full Size with suspension

Well it seemed that I’m just the wrong size to fit most MTB without doing myself serious damage. I’d just about given up when I called into Evans and tried a Pinnacle Mercury 2021. Okay, so it doesn’t have suspension or a big brand mid motor (but it’s Bafang which at least I’ve heard of through...

    Full Size with suspension

An unexpected alternative has come along in the form of a Batribike Delta Plus which looks the part and at a reasonable price too. I’ve seen previous comments about the battery but you can extend the warranty to 5 years. The motor and frame warranty are 3 and 5 years respectively. My only...

    Full Size with suspension

What do you do to look after the seals ? I only use a hose on mine or, on a couple of occasions when it was salty, a battery washer with a wide spray and lukewarm water. It’s washed and dried after every ride and I run down the road to dry the brakes off before putting it in the warm dry...

    Full Size with suspension

Thanks for all your input which has been very useful. I think in my head I was veering towards Yamaha or Shimano but the Brose-based Decathlon bike had a price advantage. I‘m not going to be doing any off road stuff and will basically be doing the same towpaths as I currently manage on the...

    Full Size with suspension

Looks tidy enough, although I‘m not up to tackling these sort of jobs nowadays. I used to in the dim and distant past, including rebuilding proper car engines (pre-computer age). Just one question though, how did all the dog ends get past the seals ?
