Hopes are nice disc, agree. Just a pain to align, also getting some of the bolts off are a pain. Really nice looking bike / set up!

    40MPH at last!

Easy enough to replace. How you getting on with the 6 bolt discs. I used to run hopes, but had a few issues with clearance, ended up filing some of brake attachment / calliper away. I'm a convert to centre fit discs now.

Hello from California, land of the E-MTB haters...not for long though

Heading out your way in August. West coast trip with family, so no riding for me, but your area looks beautiful. Usual tourist stuff, san fran, LA and parks like Bryce etc. I first got into e-bikes when i was in the Alps, swiss/french border. some serious mountains their with some serious...

    Intuvia or Purion?

I sold my Nyon in favour of the purion. I love the purion as a simple small display and perfect if your going to be mtbing, properly off road. If your doing mainly xc / trail then the Intuvia is fine. I personally think the purion is the most robust by far.

    40MPH at last!

Well after changing dongle to a bikespeed rs, 20t front chainring, turbo mode, nice long flat road and a lot of pain i eventually hit 40.7mph, according to the bosch purion. Bad news is i only managed it as a test for 3 seconds, and i bet my garmin says it was 1mph less. Kind of pointless...

Very kind, might well take you up on that when weather better. i know the norths down well, but not the south. Cumbria is pretty, but trust me it rains all the bloody time. Not for me!

Forum members who perform e-bikes conversions for a fee?

I bet if you had the time and inclination it would be a great project to convert a standard bike to an e-bike. As a desk bod, i did up my garage and decided i needed a work bench, but couldn't find one i liked or was worth the money. After a bit of googling / you tubing i built my own and to...

    1st weekend with Bergamont Trailster C 9.0

Look at all those ties on seat stays, catching all that crud, rubbing against paintwork. It will be a nightmare to clean. Am i putting you off yet?

Afraid not, I'm averaging 50 miles a week at moment all through winter and for last 8 years! That bike would be sooooo nice without those bloody things, at least get a bell to match ;)

    which lidl saddle ?

None of them. Buy a charge saddle, cheap, well respected and good quality. I've had £150 saddles there were not as good at the charge saddles.

I live in Ashford, Kent, but we love going to Brighton. Must pop in next time i'm down. Also, after living in Cumbria, yes we do get a few more degrees and sun shine in the south.

Like the bike, but hate the look of mudguards on bikes. I've tried just about all mudguards in the past and they have all been useless to some extent. It's much easier to clean bike without them. I did say i hated the look of mudguards didn't i :)
