Never mind Ascending, what about Descending ability

I read an online cycling article recently about e-bikes and their climbing ability, and that they should have their own category on strava for obvious reasons, which of course they do. Funny enough, it also said they hold no advantage downhill and people had also agreed saying they would be...

    ASA ebike dongles

Agree, but their still glitchy with some odd read outs now and again. Go for a bikespeedrs dongle with no restriction other than rider and mechanics. Have a look at the reviews, well made and no heat shrink required, as has proper connecters. I bought one to replace original dongle and so far...

Choosing the right bike! Which one?

30 mph is not going to attract attention, have you seen strava stats!. Cruising at 30 for any distance is unlikely, unless your a pro, have a stealth bomber 52 or your going downhill for miles.;)

    Giant Road E+ 1 Dongle?

Big shame, as this road bike looks really nice. To me it's pointless restricting assist on a road bike to 15mph. Yes we all know the law, but to make it a useful, really nice road bike it needs to be able to hit at least 20 with assist.

    bike carriers

Over the years all my cars have had rear tow bars / electrics, so i still have the carriers for use when i change cars. In the meantime, i bought a thule raceway, not cheap but just as quick and easy as having a tow bar, fits both cars as well. i bought the two bike carrier one for weight / size.

Bit like buying a Ford probe (if anyone remembers them).

    GPS tracker

Tha Agree, seems the police have no time for tracking MacBooks. I would imagine this applied to bikes. When i had my car stolen it was 48 hours before they came out and told me just to claim against insurance, as it would be broken up for parts. Sounds like Eddie is right!. Oh and yes your old...

    New Speeding Fines

May years ago my sister (foreign office at time) lived in Bangladesh, she got a driving license and the NZ authorities recognised this driving license. She then exchanged it for a NZ one and lived in Wellington for 4 years (again with foreign office). When she returned to London she exchanged...

    GPS tracker

Hi, I think this is a good find and thanks for posting. I don't want to put a dampner on this, but a friend recently had her MacBook stolen. Located to a house, and when she rang the police they said it was a civil matter and where not interested. She knocked on door (brave) and the chap who...

    New Speeding Fines

You should get a UK driving license!. I know the French police are clamping down, and don't forget the French socialist government need the revenue ;)

    40MPH at last!

Some nice stats on the strava club page. One person must have at least 2 batteries on them to achieve that ride length, unless there's some Tesla type recharge points in area. That would be cool, especially if you could recharge in say 10 minutes :)

Focus Jam ² - Nicest eMTB yet?

Nice looking bike, if you like the steps system and 29ers.

Arrrg where do I get a new battery?

Wonder how much. It's early days for me as battery only a year old, but a fair few miles on it. I'm thinking about a spare for when I go bike packing.
