A UK company which designs and manufactures here in the UK- ebike kits.

Value for money I think is what most want, the same here. Plenty of members have top end Cube, Haibike etc £3k+ bikes here, and plenty of members have £500 or less kits fitted to donor bikes and everything in between.

Not putting the company down, just fed up with these range claims. There should be some kind of benchmark parameters otherwise you can claim whatever you want. At least with the Bosch range finder calculator you can add rider weight, bike weight, terrain, rider effort, gear type, tyres etc to...

    Bafang PAS intermittent problem BBS01

Thanks guerney. I've got self amalgamating tape on my shopping list, I reckon that and heat shrink will keep things dry. I'm lucky to have enough parts for another BBS01b build on a Boardman hybrid base. Gonna keep this bike for dry use and long tours here in the UK and when I go on tours to...

    Bafang PAS intermittent problem BBS01

Well fitted throttle, took bike out today and could I get it to go wrong ? No, performed perfectly, no PAS drop outs whatever I threw at it. Turn off, turned on, throttle on and off, assist levels up and down, smooth and bumpy terrain etc etc I can only assume the problem will resurface at...

    New Member & Planned Build

Those bottle mount holes are low down the frame so you will need to add an additional hole in the frame (rivnut) higher up if you plan to use a Hailong style downtube battery. Will be tight with the slimmest Hailong 1 type battery, get the dimensions and produce a cardboard template to test...

    Bafang PAS intermittent problem BBS01

Apologies for the thread ressurection but today I'm having similar issues where I'll be riding along and intermittently there's no assist on my BBS01b. The display is on and showing speed, voltage etc as normal but the power displays 0W. Then it'll start assisting as normal. I've check cables...

Teen on e-bike dies after colliding with ambulance

Was cycling on a narrow cycle path in Belgium last year, when a lad of about 14 flew past us from behind at about 45-50 mph on a Sur-Ron style electric motorbike, he then negotiated a narrow s-bend on the path ahead between two staggered bollards without backing off, leaning full over both ways...

Teen on e-bike dies after colliding with ambulance

Was it an 'ebike' as reported by the BBC here, or was it actually an electric motorbike (45mph + Sur-Ron - as in the first case a few weeks ago in Wales) I can picture the Daily Mail comments now - BAN THEM EBIKES NOW!! - They are lethal and they don't pay any road tax !!

    Cheap Electric Bike

I'd definitely be in on this group buy, but I've just bought a Kirby vacuum cleaner, paid some guys to tarmac my drive, and bought a Dyson hair dryer, so I'm cleaned out. If the offer's still on next month, count me in. I do love a bargain and this looks mint

Two boys die in "ebike" accident: Cardiff riot broke out after 'police prevented parents seeing fatal crash victims', close relative says

I feel sad for the families of the two lads. The media reporting what are electric motorbikes as ' e-bikes ' doesn't help the reputation of law abiding legally riding pedelecers
