    bike battery no green light

My guess would be, the less current you pull the kinder you are to the battery. Keeping the voltage higher reduces the current for the same given power.

    carbon forks and hub motors?

Now if you can find a carbon fork designed for a drum brake you would be on to a winner ;)

    carbon forks and hub motors?

I was about to pop out when I posted that but would add that in my mind subsequent posts and posts made while I was typing have covered what I would have said had I had more time. First as @mathewslack said "it will be alright until it isn't ", this is one of the biggest problems with carbon in...

    carbon forks and hub motors?

The dropouts do not see those forces it is effectively the other way around. The force they see is the force involved in the retardation of the mass of the bicycle and the rider against the contact point of the tyre. This can of course be supplemented by the forces involved in hitting a pothole...

    carbon forks and hub motors?

The braking forces are carried by the brake caliper, whether rim or disc, not the dropout.

My bike is barely engaging the motor then it flashes error 24

You do of course realise that the bike you have bought apart from having butchered wiring ( how it could get into that state is beyond me) actually appears to be illegal to use as a bicycle in UK other than on private land.

    Thioughts on removeable kit,

Another vote for another bike here. I would have thought he would be much happier with a torque sensor bike, certainly not one with a speed controller.

    Wisper Wisper Bike rack cracked

You used the wrong stuff, you need epoxy putty not glue (and plenty of it) to make a sausage that can fill both tubes completely for at least 15mm and something in the middle like a screw or tube to give additional support.

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

There is no need to change the derailleur on systems like this, there is no such thing as a 7 speed or 8 speed derailleur. The difference in how they work is all in the shifter, changingthe derailleur actually increases the chances of getting something wrong by routing the cable incorrectly...

    What has happened here please

Looks to me like the angle it is out is the equivalent of rotating the casing by one bolt hole on the first picture.

    Unrecognised lever on the handlebar

There is a lot more to it than that on every dropper I have owned / used. The height is infinitely adjustable between high and low rather than just 2 holes. Mine have always been hydraulic, sometimes the operation is by cable opening a valve or sometimes with hydraulic operation too. I always...

    Unrecognised lever on the handlebar

Control for the dropper seat post. Sit on the bike then operate the lever and the seat should go down, take your weight off the saddle and operate it again and it will go back up.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

I think you might find that correctly specified and set up heatpumps are completely viable in UK. The problem is more that many installers (not helped by the poor requirements of surveys required for government grants) don't have a clue how to set systems up correctly. To set a system up...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Beg to differ here, heatpumps work fine in cold weather, lots of heatpumps in Scandinavia and here in the Alps where temperatures are often well below freezing. The biggest problem for heatpumps in UK is humidity leading to icing of the condenser, when it gets actually cold the air doesn't have...

Legal status of ebikes that are identical to those that have gone through the DVSA approval process but haven't been tested

How do you know it is identical to what was tested? Just because it looks the same at a glance doesn't make it the same.

Help! emtb frame size for 176 cm person

That is how I would do it too. In answer to the OP's question on the reach modern MTBs tend to have longer reach and more relaxed geometry to help you get your weight forward for more front wheel grip. How you feel about that for longer rides I don't know, many on here prefer a more upright...

    seized bikes

Large cables with not If aluminium was perfect for use in small sizes with potentially considerable flexing it would be used in all mains cables as it is much cheaper than copper. It is perfect for the pylons etc as you mentioned previously because it is much lighter but even then it is usually...

    Shock Absorbers

If th If that won't move then that will be why it snapped in the first place. A rear shock will only snap if the ends aren't able to move (rotate) while the suspension moves.
