I couldn’t say, I just tighten as much as I can using a long Allen key, it’s done me well enough for decades ;);)

There’s a little backlash between the crank and chainring on the gen 3 motor. The chainring is not bolted directly to the crank arm like a conventional bike. if you rotate the pedals back and forth you can feel a little clunk. its been on every ALP motor I’ve tried (well into double figures)...

If it any good to you, I have a 9 speed shifter that I was keeping as a spare, before I cut the indicator part off the shifter I was using I brought this one just in case ;) turned out I didn’t need it, my modifications were fine :cool: its brand new but doesn’t have a cable, yours for £15 posted

Is this your bike? This bike has a totally different clamp arrangement to most modern bikes but the clamp area is setback anyway if it is you won’t have any offset problems with the ncx post

After all the trouble with the impulse 2 motors, I’m surprised to see 2020 models still have impulse 2 motors. I spotted a 2020 Kalkhoff Sahel for sale with this motor, I was wondering if the issues have been fixed and if so why on earth they kept the same name. For many just mentioning...
