    Suntour forks creaking

You may joke but whilst my mate was on holiday his dad oiled his front disc because it looked a little rusty and that was on a gold wing

Need New Handlebars Due to Accident

You have my sympathy, my left arm/elbow was reconstructed back in 95, now 1" shorter and it doesn't fully straighten. Hey ho, we overcome. I use the shortest stem available, similar to these...

    Tyres

I have an acid one and two sets of wheels / tyres, 2.25 big apples & 2.25 smart Sam's, both in the plus variety with the added protection ;) The apples are great on road and exelent milage, the Sam's are good off-road and TBH feel just as quick as the apples on road but I wouldn't be cornering...

    Short Cranks on Bosch DU

You wouldn't find it quite so amusing if you'd had multiple knee OP's leaving you with arthritis and limited movement. Ground strikes have never been a problem for me either, even with my 160mm cranks & offsett pedals being lower than 175 cranks o_O but that's down to choice of line and...

    Short Cranks on Bosch DU

I shoul add, I ride with short cranks and can only dream of the above torque adjustablility, alas I have the active line plus's motor But that cool as its still a cracking bike to ride

    Short Cranks on Bosch DU

The quote below is taken from the CX page of Bosch's website. "Whether you have long or short cranks, Bosch provides the right support, according to the torque. Short cranks give you extra ground clearance for eMountain Biking. Your specialist dealer will be able to make the corresponding...

Set your bike on two upturned buckets whilst doing the clamp up and then remove the buckets ;) simples. PS don't forget to put the buckets back under the wheels before undoing the clamp :p

    Why pay for software upgrade?

Your not wrong there, I paid £45 for mine Green body & white face for my green cube . I did have one of those £5 digital jobs but difficult to see and the battery lasted less than 2 months, so when my thunder ball numbers came up (well £100 worth) I thought I'd treat myself :p There are...

Good looking bike some might say

I can't see anything to like about it apart from the fact that I don't have to ride it

    Shin protection

Surely not wearing poor shoes is the simplest answer :p But seriously I wear these for maximum pedal grip...

If you happen to hear a chainsaw when you are out on your bike...

Probably not as most walkers I come across these days are too buissy on there phones to know what's going on around them. :p

    Transporting batteries when off bike

Expensive yes but not made of glass, mine sits safe and happy in the rear passenger foot well. :) If involved in an accident you'll be in more danger from the loose battery flying around inside the car,

Bosch! The good, the bad and the ugly!

True, my last post wasn't until I questioned the latest software on my active line plus. I'd only covered 625 miles so far but all without issue. Nobody want to read posts like I went on another 33 mile ride today and nothing went wrong

    Active line plus latest software

OK so my software has been reinstalled but no change o_O I rode home the long way, 25 miles with plenty of bridalways inc some good climbs :) I'm now leaning towards the idea of a more dynamic sports mode. I don't think there's anything lacking in turbo mode, if anything it's the sports mode...

    Which Tyres ?

Schwalbe Smart Sam plus green guard, my personal favourite. Good road speed / milage, grippy off road and exelent puncture resistance.

    Active line plus latest software

Thing is with the older software there was no thinking about it, there was an obvious difference. Anywho, I'm popping back to the dealers tomorrow for a re-flash ;)

    Active line plus latest software

Has anyone else had there Active line plus software updated recently ? A week ago I had the latest version installed and now I can't feal any difference between sports & turbo. Previously there was a marked difference in assistance power between each mode but now sport & turbo feal the same...

The roads made me do it!

Just curious about your forks, are they ebike rated ? as I had "on one" carbon forks on my last E-cube and I was asked that question several times, being told they need to be stronger to cope with the additional mass when breaking. Several thousand miles and I had no issues but it did make me...
