    Police ebike checks.

Well it was just a few days ago that I heard of the fake police car scam operating on our motorways, where an unmarked police car puts on its blue lights and pulls over a high end car on the pretext of doing a vehicle inspection. One officer will sit in the unmarked car and the other asks the...

    Bern helmets

£10 or £100, all helmets have been tested and deemed “safe” before they are put on sale. Colour, fit and features (visor/ types of strap fitting etc) are a personal choice. I’ve had a real bargain helmet off the net £20 instead of £90) only to find it too uncomfortable to use. You can’t beat...

    Bern helmets

They don’t look to be very well vented to me but get reasonable reviews, probably make a good winter helmet. I wear a well ventilated lid with a thick skull cap when it’s cold and a thinner one in the summer.

    speed pedelec without battery

playing devils advocate here, I’m curious as to how one motoring offence can be acceptable on this forum and regularly discussed, whereas another motoring offence is condemned. Increasing the power/speed limit of a pedelec to create an illegal motor vehicle is still illegal whether you like...

    Winter DIY - Heated grips

I have Raynaud's and I can be comfortably warm in my house and just by taking stuff out of the fridge or freezer can set it off. it’s an over active nerve reaction that reduces the blood flow too your extremities (fingers and toes normally) So keeping your core temp up doesn’t help everyone...

how drivers see you based on the clothes you wear.

I thought I’d share this picture with you, it was in a recent British Cycling “Christmas gifts for cyclists “email. So the governing body for cycling UK thinks it’s cool wearing all black in poor light conditions !

how drivers see you based on the clothes you wear.

Yes that’s right about green to be seen. As we have evolved from arboreal creatures, being able to distinguish predators in the canopy was a life saver. The human eye has evolved to distinguish more shades of green than all of the other colours put together ! Anywho, in the darkness you can...

    Battery disposal

The way I read it. freezing doesn’t kill a battery. Freezing is for safety when transporting the battery, once it’s back to normal temperature it’s still viable with no detrimental effects
