yes i added the 2nd battery so i cld use max assist most of the time,hence slightly worse. An definately full on uphill.i guess i feel low assist i might as well ride a regular bike.but my slightly arthritic 50 year old knees love it. id never get up a hill in PAS1-2 theyd ignite.

good tip,ive found more recently riding both the bbs01 & bbshd feel much better leaving on the 17t-20t cogs all the time.both have 42t narrow/wide chainrings.

incredible i just dont know how all you guys on here get these ranges. My bbs01 18amp on a giant sedona only ever gave 27miles on a 17.4ah battery. Derestricted and mainly used on 4 of 5 levels PAS.last few miles crawling back on PAS1-2. Now it has 2 batteries totaling 30ah i still only get 40...

then buy a bbshd with a 52v triangle battery of around 25ah + and you can have that 30mph speed all the way,ideal.the torqe the bbshd produces for hill climbing and acceleration is amazing.in hindsight i would never bother with anything else....if i could afford a large capacity battery.my 350w...

Hi neal.i didnt ride far enough today for a full test.However i was pleased to see i used only 6.3v of the 57.5v full charge to do 14.2 miles. that inc plenty of hills,pas2 mainly approx 18amps.with fair bit of 21-24amps, WOT & bit of PAS1..a good mixture basically.voltage drop on the display...

hi dave yeah i meant bms balancing not charger.i meant i could see the charger periodically turning on and off after green light.no never charged to less than 100% always green light plus few hrs, but i never had battery switched on during charging before.never saw the charger ever come back on...
