Try and find my threads on my own issue with random PAS function on a bbs01 .It was the controller in the end.The throttles played up too.Was all started by rain in the throttles i tried 2 the second being fine until rain also.Strangely caused damage to the function of PAS.

Just buy a bbshd kit and a big 52v triangle battery.Say 24 Ah .This will give u all u want. Check out electron cycles site for a start. Unfortunately the coupling of 30mph with 40mile range will cost ,but u will never need anything else again...Or want.

you prob better off with 30Q. Its hard with the bbshd to resist the temptation to use full power for extended periods.Not just bursts .As i understand .The ga cells in a 5 parallel will be delivering 6amps in that case.while being rated at 5amp continous 10amp for short bursts. 30Q s rated...

Getting a 2nd pannier mount batt in 52v may prove hard , 52v doesnt seem to be that popular in uk. i dont know if the bbshd is just more efficient at higher amps .But you dont seem to get as great an increased range as ud think,halving the amp draw. Ie ,run 25-30 amps get 20 miles. Run 13amps...

Do it...I went bbs01 350w ,36v first time because price. 10 months later Experience shows i just should have bought a bbshd and a big AH 52v from the start. On a good mtb Its a dream set up for anything. Lets be honest ,would anyone ever choose a 250w motor if 1000w motors became legal.
