need help programming my Bafang BBS01b

Yes Thanks, it was me expecting something different to how the BBS01 actually works when i first got it. I was disappointed at first but with the programming lead and me understanding what was happening i have adapted to it and i was pleased enough to buy a second one for my other bike. Err i...

    Cycle analyst with TSDZ2

I have now added the cycle analyst(2.3) and i have done it so i can revert to the original setup just by unplugging, it the original display is still retained and functions as normal. I paid £115 total for the CA brand new but if i was doing it again i would go the d8veh method using a watt...

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

Hi harrys, welcome to the forum! I bought mine(350w with throttle and brakes) and i had nothing but problems, all with the display. PSWPower sorted it eventually but it took 4 1/2 months and cost me postage to send the defective part back and they then charged me postage to send the replacement...

    Watt meter TSDZ2

Hi danielrlee, I was going to cut the plug off completely and rewire it, but maybe i ought to consider the extra(£130) and get the stand alone version. I have found an article showing how to wire it direct to a Hub system controller but its no good for me as i am using a crank drive and i have...

    Watt meter TSDZ2

Have just come across a Cycle Analyst v2.3 CA for £65 which would be the boy if i can wire it into place because its meant to plug into a standard battery 6 pin socket thingy and i use LiPo's so would it be easy to adapt. For another £10 it comes with speedo sensor, but do i need that seeing as...

    Watt meter TSDZ2

I got confused by the mention of the controller, As i understand it all i have to do is insert the watt meter inline between my battery and the power connections of the motor As my battery connector is an XT90 it should be simple. But to get the watt meter to the handlebars surly there will be 2...

    Watt meter TSDZ2

Thanks d8veh i just wondered if it could be spliced into the brake lever cut off but as its not possible i will have to adapt to reading black bars instead of volts!

    Watt meter TSDZ2

The display i have on my Tongsheng is the VLCD-5 and it doesn't display voltage only black bars and absolutely nothing as far as amp usage and that makes me feel very insecure as i have no idea how much battery i have left, i am used to monitoring voltage on my BBS01 and don't discharge below 36...

Footpump Mate i'm the same age as you nearly, born 1949 and have a pelvis held together with several titanium plates. I am not suggesting that there is anything wrong with leaving it in the sport setting especially if you are comfortable with it, only that you wont get the best economy that way.

Sandyman44 i dont know how you can come to the opposite conclusion to me because i have not yet come to a conclusion, infact i said as much. I have never had any problems changing gear on on either of my Bafang equipped bikes, Maybe its a technique thing, but right from the start i just shifted...

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

Hey Footpump, About the range you are getting, lowering the amps wont make a blind bit of difference because the motor will always take what it needs unlike Bafang which will restrict the amps, but i dont think that is what is causing your problem. you say your in sport mode which is the second...

    Problem with new Tongsheng TSDZ2

Yabba Dabba Doo!!! they finally sent my replacement VLCD-5 and everything is now(at last) as it should be. That was such a stressful experience, 4 1/2 months from start to finish, hope i never have to go through that torture ever again.

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

Finally i got the replacement LCD display with the right plug on it(only took 4 1/2 mths to sort out lol) and at last i have ridden it and can give an opinion. Didn't like it at first, being used to a Bafang BBS01 250w ,it seemed weak considering it was 350w and limited in available adjustments...

    Luna black box for Bafang.

If you use it in a workshop environment i can see why you might want it,But for an everyday guy with an ebike or two(bafang only) then a £20 cable and a computer will do the same job, if you don't have a computer(WHAT!!!) or are the type that must have everything and like wasting money then OK...

    Which LVA

That is something i hadn't considered but i am sure i can fit it into my routine and generate the habit of disconnecting batteries AND LVA's when i first get home from a drive.

    Which LVA

Well i am going to give them a try on my new 10,000 mah Multistars, another layer of safety can't hurt, but in my experience the first sign of things going wrong are cells that are not balancing and puffing, although i have had both happen and they didn't blow up, they just got inefficient and...
