    TSDZ2 36V 250 WATTS for a trike build or stick with bbs01

I have both and i prefer the Bafang, One the display is better as it shows actual volts remaining, the TSDZ2 only shows segments which is useless because by the time it drops one segment you are actually almost out of power. Second the TSDZ2's torque works the wrong way round, in that if you're...

Sorry didn't see the other thread. I would be OK with the moderators removing this thread as its a duplicate.

Woman Dies after being struck by Ebike

I just saw the news that a woman in London who was hit by a hit and run ebike(it was found abandoned) has unfortunately died. Will this affect us as ebikers , because at the moment they seem to see it as a cycling incident and not as an exclusively ebike incident. Could this incident especially...

    Eggrider V2 for Bafang BBS01 BBS02 BBSHD

I assume from your reply that the eggrider could actually be used as evidence against you if you were unfortunate enough to be involved with Mr Plod, is this the way things are going?

    Powered Bike Trailer

Thank you for your comments and on reflection i think you are ALL probably right, after all if the idea was practical then Extrawheel, the company, would market it. I live in Hilly Bristol, so as pointed out, it would be less than satisfactory when pushing up a hill. @Benjahmin I...

    Powered Bike Trailer

While investigating a trailer so i can carry more batteries independent of the bike i came across this you tube video . It uses an extrawheel trailer and a hub motor to push you along. It seems to me to be an easy build and the only minor problem would be extending the controls/LCD lead. Can...

    Eggrider V2 for Bafang BBS01 BBS02 BBSHD

I was quite interested in the Eggrider at one time But i found that Bagang did a new mini colour lcd(500C) for about 50 quid so i got one of those and am well pleased with it, its quite small and stealthy and it is very readable whatever the light. The only minor problem with it is with my...

    BBS01B 250w to 350w

I have two bikes with Bafang 250's and generally i'm happy with them. When i first got one i tried to up the amperage to, i think it was 17 or 18 amps, to turn it into a 350w but got error messages so gave up with that idea. A year later and i am thinking i need more power but not at too much...

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

Its not the 15.5 mph that annoys me, its the way the motor cuts in and out(pulses) at that 15.5 mph (which seems to be my normal speed on the flat) so i cheat a bit(oh-er miss's) I set my max speed to 20 mph but ride at about 15/16 mph. I would prefer it if I could do this legally so that is why...

    Trailers

Has anyone got experience of trailers for ebikes, what i thought was a single wheel trailer to put lots of batteries in and maybe a tent etc for a weekend camping. I'm thinking of 50 to 60 miles each way, maybe more when i am confident i can handle the distance. Is anyone doing this? as i think...

    Kit for Birdy?

There's a huge thread on the TSDZ2 on endless sphere, i know because i have read most of it. I have a TSDZ2 350w its OK but the display doesn't do volts but you can get a brass gear to replace the nylon one. Last week Woosh had nothing good to say about mid drives and this week they are the...

    Bafang loom and shift sensor

I really should stop spending money on E-Bike stuff!! Fitted the gear shift sensor and front brake sensor and i also got a Bafang 500C mini colour Display. Went on a 30 odd mile round trip from Bristol to Bath(bank holiday monday) and back along the cycle track which is really nice...

    What conversion kit

I've got one and its not noisy like on the vid. I also have 2 Bafang BBS01 250w and they sound the same(quiet) The only problem with the TSDS2 is the display doesn't show volts and because of that it doesn't get used much as i am insecure if i cant see how much battery i have left.

    Bafang loom and shift sensor

tried that! and when i put weight on the pedals you could feel the motor pushing even though you had the brake on, it was very disconcerting and it didn't feel like it was doing the motor any good, tried it for a week but i couldn't get used to it.

    Bafang loom and shift sensor

OK slight change of plan, one brake sensor on rear brake, None on front brake and gear shift sensor on front brake higo plug. I never use the front brake alone so i think that is still safe. Hopefully.

    Bafang loom and shift sensor

@wheeliepete Of course, how stupid of me lol, i dont fit a throttle so i totally forgot about that, dam i should have got the Y cable when i bought the sensor. Oh well live and learn(yet again)

    Bafang loom and shift sensor

I'm tidying things up a bit on my new build and fitting normal brake levers instead of Bafangs lumpy things and have bought the through wire type sensors(no gluing magnets etc) so i thought that while i was at it i would fit a gear sensor after all its only £15 and the Bafang loom has 3 Higo...

Can i dump the crappy Brake Levers

I have a hidden wire brake sensor on the back brake. You can get a couple from PSWpower for $12: That looks good or the green button from bafang. BUT I am running one of my bikes with ordinary brake levers(no cut off connections) as an experiment and i cant tell the difference except the brakes...

Can i dump the crappy Brake Levers

Nope, Avid BB7's on one and V brakes on the other,I prefer easily replaced cables to Hydraulic. So cut the wires that go to the bafang brake and wire in a push button?

Can i dump the crappy Brake Levers

I don't know if this has been asked before but not recently anyway so here goes. I run two bikes with BBS01's neither with throttles and i would like to fit decent brake levers, I have a programming cable so I can reduce the engine lag to virtually nothing. I am not brave enough to try...
