Boardman 8.9e or Orbea gain F40

Yeah look like great MTBs and the motor is more powerful than the Faro loving the fact you can sit back and just spin the pedals when your legs are burning, nice to hear from another happy Woosher.

Boardman 8.9e or Orbea gain F40

If budget is a concern then consider the Woosh Faro, about half the price of the Boardman but by no means half the bike , mine is truly purring along, smooth, light handling and gearing just right. To be fair it feels a little ridged for true comfort but this means when trying to put the power...

Boardman 8.9e or Orbea gain F40

Both are similar in operation but the boardman battery can be removed for charging and the Orbea is charged on the bike. Make your choice if either is an issue. Please check issues with locking mechanism of the battery on the boardman and water ingress at the charging point for both types. Both...

Middle aged fat man seeks ebike advice

As always advise trying a variety of styles of bike. These don’t have to be ebikes yet. Try a road bike, hybrid, Dutch style and MTB this way you’ll learn a preference for your needs. After which you can then try a hub Motor and crank drive and hopefully a torque and cadence sensor type. Again...

Faro 8ah internal battery range review

Hi just so I’ve got this right if a newbie writes a post which includes a highlighted link then this is most certainly a spam attempt and care must be taken not to access said link?

    Hello! (need your help)

The drive system is exclusive to giant giving 80 nm available torque applied progressively via a torque sensor, through a crank driven motor. Reviewers are all really impressed by the relevant ease steep hills are tackled and the range the relatively low capacity battery provides. No assist...

Juicybike I like Juicy Ticket - but need pannier rack

Have a look at the Boardman 8.9 e sold through Halfords as I guess you can now organise a test ride. Fixings for guards and rack are standard. Also the Orbea gain f40 , also sold by one of the major bike companies, again accessory ready. The Woosh Faro would have been ideal but I think even with...

    First day out

Trust no one who says this type or that type is a comfortable saddle, there are only certain types less uncomfortable than others. Having said that the stock saddle on the Woosh Faro is the least uncomfortable I’ve tried to date. Build your range up over time in steady increments and your...

Fitting different battery to Gtech citybike

Sounds like a great solution to the small capacity Gtech battery. Having had the Escent I can vouch that range anxiety is prevalent, but left in max level permanently will lower the range of the substitute 36v battery quite significantly. Especially if travelling below 15.5mph for whatever...

Faro 8ah internal battery range review

Hi Jeffry, convinced you’ll be impressed with a test ride and well received by the Woosh team. Please let us know if you take the plunge and of future experiences and adventures. Great forum as my learning curve grows and grows on all things relating to ebikes.

Mostly for commute e-bike recommendations please!

A few of the lightweight, light assist road ebikes allow you to remove the motor and battery easily although concerns have been raised as to the durability of the locking mechanism. Concerns about the location of the control have been stated (on the crossbar) requiring toggling through settings...

Looking for a road/gravel eBike up to £3,000

If you want a premium branded lightweight stealth bike then as mentioned these cost substantial collateral. As alternative look at the Faro, mine without rear rack, light and kickstand weighs under 16 kg just approximately same as the other mentioned brands. Replace seat, seat post, front forks...

    Woosh Faro Review

Make sure you loosen the small valve nut far enough as the adapter when fitted sometimes closes the nut making inflation difficult no matter what pump

    Woosh Faro Review

Yes I had front wheel wrong way round but noticed before tightening everything up. I’m sure bar ends I use are cheap certainly less than a tenner new and definitely help. Moving saddle towards handlebars helps with comfort. Glad you’re enjoying tootling around. Great bikes.
