    ELECTRIC CARRERA VENGEANCE PROBLEM

If the battery hasn't been used, discharged and charged for a year then that wont help at all. As above, what haven't you replaced? Try substitution, one hint at a time then back to stock, then the next using, then back to stock, and so on. Include control wires in the process. Again, as...

    Brooks Saddles

Fair enough...but what about some that never seem to break in? What about used saddles that are comfy right from the start - if they're broken in and moulded to someone else's shape, then how could this be? I'm a very big, heavy lad, and my B17 is dimensionally identical to that which it was...

    Proposed changes to highway code

My word, a usable stretch of Sustrans cycle path? That's as rare as an honest politician.

Please recommend a rack top bag for S10 to hold a large D Lock.

Do you need a bag for that? I use cheap velcro straps from ebay to attach my D lock to the rack. This also gives a bit of versatility if I am carrying a load, as I can then strap the lock the the side of the rack instead and leave the load platform free for other stuff.

Britain's First 'Dutch-Style' Roundabout Closed 10 Days After Opening When Car Ploughed Into Beacon

It won't be lost forever. There arent enough rare earth metal resources to manufacture the batteries, controllers and motors to make enough electric cars to replace every ICE car one for one. When that reality sinks in till be public transport or cycling for the majority of folk, so while it...

    Brooks Saddles

Brooks saddles don't break in - your backside simply gets used to it. Been using the same one since 1983.

    Electric bikes discredited

To be honest, our bikes are only delivering assistance up to 15.5 mph, and above that are harder on the legs to propel due to their weight and resistance - anyone who gets overtaken by one really needs to spend less time complaining and more time working on their fitness.

    Electric bikes discredited

I've not had any adverse reaction myself. Personally, I think people should butt out and mind their own business - if someone is obeying the law and not hurting anyone, then they should leave them be. This sticking their nose into other peoples innocuous and harmless business is a peculiarly...

    No Suspension

Not unduly. You have to pay decent money to get suspension forks worth a damn anyway.

petition to increase the speed limit

In terms of carbon equivalency E cars dont get anywhere near 200mpg - in that regard 130mpg is regarded as very good indeed. And if these e cars are being charged at night, why the big push for chargers outside shops, workplaces, in the street, and at motorway services? It doesn't add up. And...

Haibike Flyon derestricted, or something else?

And then it becomes a speed pedelcec/moped, and you need insurance, MOT, etc. The odds of getting caught are slim but it does happen - a good friend of mine is head of roads policing for our County and he tells me they do catch and prosecute a few. But more to the point, this sort of activity...

    Pedelec Law - The Details

I think your humble opinion may be wrong. I went to grammar school then, joined the Army and ended a successful 24 year career as a Major. I now have a successful consultancy practice advising upon logistics and security in conflict zones and areas of the World with questionable rule of law...

How many of you also own and ride a regular bike?

8 regular bikes. 3 road bikes, 3 MTB's, a fixie, and a 70's tracker bike. The pedelec comes in it's own for local utility riding, popping across to friends in the next village, or a few villages across to the shop, or pleasure riding with 'er indoors. The bulk of my serious mileage is on the...

    Raleigh Array Electric bike

That's old news now. Although the Carrera batteries still retain the socket on the side, it is now redundant - the new charger they have introduced mimics the battery holder on the bike and the 5 pins on the base of the battery slide very smoothly into the charging dock without any hassles...
